Fair enough, but I think the age and potential (as well as the raven bias) factors were in effect with the pick.

It's a good thing this is the Ravens board and not the Jaguars board then lol

tbh tho he has 4 starts at guard in a scenario where the entire team was playing possessed. I don't think you can evaluate him as one of the best potential OG's off that. Its just way too small of a sample size.

btw aren't you up?

Fair enough, but if I remember correctly he did grade out as the best player on the O-line for that stretch for what it's worth.

Ya I'm looking over my top couple picks to make sure my guys will be available at my next pick based on the current trends.

Honestly the biggest reach imo for the Ravens was Rice with McKinnie very close behind. On terms of player and value McKinnie was the biggest because I think there's still an above average LT on the board. Lol I'm shocked he's still there honestly

Has anyone been paying attention to the Draft? Brandon Myers has been picked.

I think he's a tough hardworking reliable player, but the two knocks on him are his poor blocking and he doesn't produce many yards after the catch. Not to mention he was a one year wonder in Greg Knapp's TE heavy offense. However, I think he will be the perfect security blanket for Matt Schaub.

I wouldn't pick Kruger in this unless you plan on picking an LB as one of your three reserves because in this game pretty much whoever you pick will play every down there is limited rotation in 25 rounds and I don't think Kruger is a three down LB

I agree he is not an everydown guy but as a situational player he may be one of the best...just because we may only be doing a little draft does not take away the value he can add to a team..but I agree fully I may have overdrafted him but having that pass rush presence is a necessity. Really wanted Michael Johnson at that pick, but Kruger was my backup plan..so close

I agree he is a great situational player. do you plan on using one of your three reserve picks on a DE to replace him on running downs?

McPhee
Ray Rice
Doom
Torrey

Based on the age and the fact that all of these guys are at or near the top of their position they were no reaches. Mcphee matbe a half rd. Which is splitting hairs.

Are you serious a half rd?

Rice was definitely a reach at 27 overall

but we clearly have different opinions

as long as my two Ravens are not considered reaches anymore, all good in the world

Likely--as long as value is decent..

I doubt I'll get a Raven.

take Michael Oher next round just to be sure, plus he fills a need

The biggest reach in this was Dorsey. I can think of quite a few players I would have chosen before him. Nobody heckled him as much. I honestly think a lot of us are getting on him because this is a Ravens forum. I think a reverse criticism is in play here. I think some Ravens choices are being scrutinized a bit more than other choices which also aren't as good but because they're not Ravens nobody says anything.

That's my opinion.

What makes Williams a reach and say Matt Elam isn't? They're both rookies. Seems rather contradictory to me. Both have been standouts so far.

Because there weren't better rookie safeties on the board but there are several better rookie dtackles left. One in particular I know you would take first.

I actually criticized the Dorsey pick

There's actually one raider I really like and I'm surprised he's not gone.

I have a couple, but one of them is going to SAM :(

That pick would require the best medical staff in the NFL to be effective
