One man circus? He didn't ask or grandstand for media attention. Who's in charge here, media? My opinion is that the NFL is full of a bunch of cowards always talking about toughness while allowing media persona to dictate. Here's a tough guy both mentally and physically with known skills and can't find a job.
As for the jets starting Greg McElroy. Well. LOL LOL LOL. I'm not surprised at anything the Jets do.

He may not ask for the media attention, but he's sure making no effort to stop it.  He's not worth it.  As if the media wasn't enough, he's not that good.  There's an obvious reason why the Jets stuck with Mark Sanchez over Tebow.  You can't get much worse than Sanchez, unless you have Tebow behind him.

All of this doesn't matter since we already said we have no intention of making him a Raven.

We pick a free agent that is supposed to be Ray Lewis' replacement and low and behold he gets arrested 11 days later for RESISTING arrest! Has trouble covering the pass but we can teach him to be a Raven. Here's a guy that gallantly stepped into the most difficult position in pro sports under the most difficult of circumstances and Eric DeCosta says "You don't have to worry about that." On Tebow coming to Baltimore. What in the world does the NFL want from this guy? To be a tight end? Now I'm pulling out some emotion that all the naysayers are user as opposed to reason.
He's better than any backup we have on the roster. Just look at the rag arms with 30 mile an hour fastballs we have riding the pine and collecting a check. Let Flacco go down and you'll see the kind of chum we have backing him up.

Tebow is probably the most inaccurate passer I have ever seen.

I think Tim can be a starting Quarterback in this league. In fact, I don't see much difference between Kaepernick and Tebow. Tebow could have had much success in that read-option offense. There are probably some teams he can go to and contribute.

This isn't one of them. Our roster is too deep for him to waste a roster spot. And frankly, I'm not saying that Tebow wouldn't be a good back-up to Joe Flacco. I'm saying I'd rather have Tyrod Taylor or Caleb Hanie.

You know what actually would be a good place for Tebow?

New Orleans.

Tyrod Taylor or Caleb Haney? WOW!

Yeah, even if writing stories about Tim Tebow didn't result in clicks, I still wouldn't bring him here. I don't think he's a good backup.

I don't even think that about Tyrod Taylor. I'd rather we have a guy with an arm.

Open your eyes.

You should probably open yours. You and Skip Bayless are the only ones that think he's a good passer. That's not good company to keep.

I also want a quarterback like Joe as a backup. I think we draft a quarterback next year. I'm pretty sure of it honestly.

I wouldn't have been surprised, if the Ravens had drafted Mike Glennon this year.

Nor I, but it sounds like the quarterbacks weren't anywhere close to what we wanted in terms of value. I don't think they became more valuable at any point. The quarterback class looks pretty deep next year. I think we'll end up taking one for that reason. I think one will end up being BPA at some point early.

The reason we still have a hapless camp arm like Tyrod "riding the pine" is because he knows his role ands we're screwed regardless if we lose Flacco. If we had brought in Glennon or Tebow etc then it opens the floodgates for people to say we need to bench Flacco after a bad game.

You know that's going to happen with Hanie, Taylor, Steelman, or Tebow. Lol. I remember last year people asked to bench Flacco for Taylor.

LT of the future?

Ray Lewis heir? Possible. He has great leadership skills. Lol@ Tebow in the huddle with Suggs. That would be great. I would want him here just to see that happen.

Apples and oranges, last year Flacco had some really bad games wasn't the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

Why does this thread exist? Eric DeCosta made it abundantly clear the Ravens had zero interest in Tebow.

Have you guys seen the Tebow articles on NFL.com? The comments are crazy, and the number of people who think Tebow just needs a real chance is unreal. It's like half of America only saw Tebow's highlight reels.

He has highlights other than the PIT game?

It's pathetic.

No one would care about him, or want him or want him on their team if it wasn't because "he's a good guy" (which is very subjective - right wing religious fundamentalism isn't my definition of good morality).

If he was another black athletic QB who can't pass, he'd get no media attention.

No, I do not want him nor his sycophantic fan base anywhere near my team.

I have to concur. Always wanted to say that. NFL Netwoks was always talking about Flacco being inconsistant when all we needed was a good left tackle. People calling for Tyrod Taylor. What's he going to do? Run for his life and dump off with his 30 mile an hour fastball. How can you read defenses while always on the run. Good point.

Well, in the sense that all of his completed passes fit on a highlight reel.

If we want to have an inaccurate QB as a backup, I'd rather keep Trent Steelman on the roster and have him run the Army wingbone lol
