I just found out that troy polamalu is now the highest paid steeler, would I be correct in saying he is the only safety in that position?

Ed signed seven-year $44.4 million contract which makes him the highest paid saftey. But there saying on websites now Palamalu is the highest paid I don't see how? it's a 5 year deal of $33 million. Ed's in 06 was a 7 year deal of $44.4 million. Funny though on some Pittsburgh site it says Troy is the best and highest paid saftey ever and Ed wishes he could try on Troys shoes LOL.

So does the highest paid mean, greatest annual salary or size of the complete deal. It seems like people can be the highest paid either way.

Wouldn't you think if Ed signed A 7 Year deal which is 2 year's longer then Polamalu for $44.4 million.

And then Polamalu signed only a 5 Year deal for $33.5 million or w.e it was Ed would be the highest paid correct? or am I wrong somewhere about this.. I am quite dumb with numbers and math, but Mr. Reed has 2 years on Mr. Poopamalu and basically $11 million dollar's more. Either way if I am wrong or right Mr. Ed Reed in my opinion is the HIGHEST PAID saftey and THE BEST EVER to play the game HANDS DOWN kthx.
