Fantasy Football 2013: Who do you hope to get?

244 posts in this topic

I think Ridley is set for a big year. I read that he put in work at the gym and gained a significant amount of muscles. And he perfectly fits the Pats offense

Still a crowded backfield in NE. I think he'll be undervalued, but could have another top 10-15 year. He would be my ideal #3 RB.

I don't think you'll get him as your number 3 unless your first 3 picks are running backs.

I hope Mendenhall has a big year
He will be the starting RB and the team has no faith in the other RBs from what I've read

True, but I think he will see a lot of touches especially at the beginning of the year with Gronk and Hernandez likely out. Him and Amendola are then the only true offense threats, along with Brady of course

I forgot the majority of fantasy players play in a league where there's usually 10-12 people, and RB's score the most.
I play in a QB driven league with 7 people. It's setup perfect IMO haha

Vereen looked pretty good last year. I agree though, I think the Pats will rely on the run more next season. A can see a repeat performance out of Ridley.
Hopefully for his fantasy sake he holds onto the ball better

It's not about what position scores the most but what is the point differential between your guy and who you can get later. I can't really imagine a scenario where a qb would be first round value.

The point differential is what's got me eyeing Gronk. If he only plays for the last 8 games I'd be happy because he gets like 20 points every other game

That's right I forgot about him, but still not a lot of options especially if two of the three threats are RBs

QB's score more points? It's a QB league just like in real life lol. Everyone's keeping atleast 2 QB's. I think mine are the best, I'm keeping Rodgers & rg3.

Maybe you should trade RG3. I doubt he'll be blazing across the field, post-ACL tear.

I won't be drafting him where ever he falls. Once upon a time last year I drafted Mike Vick and quickly regretted it. I feel like RG3 can create a similar let down.

However, I was able to trade Mike Vick, MJD, and Vick Ballard for Aaron Rodgers. Best one sided trade ever. The following week MJD went down and Vick Ballard had a crappy first start. Turns out it was a....Vick move on my part.

Oh, I thought you had RG3 in a keeper league.

Not so much, I've been to Long Island a couple times to visit a friend who went to Hofstra though. Sometimes I go fishing nearby too, but I don't believe I've really been in NY otherwise.

Not about that city life? :p  Speaking of NY, do yourself a favor and avoid NYJ entirely.  IF you pick Ryan's overrated D, you will get burned.

I definitely want to visit. It's just a matter of getting people to go with me. It'd most likely be an NFL or MLB game and one person being a fan of one of the teams. I'm gonna try to visit Baltimore for next football season. I digress.

The defense I want is none other than Baltimore. I think they will be on the board for a while too since apparently everyone thinks we have made no improvements whatsoever.

Ballard - top 10 TE this year?

Sleepers at RB for me is Giovanni Benard and Steven Jackson.

We already decided I was going to draft Marshall...

We already decided you'd draft a 2 for 1 deal. I draft Marshall, and you'll get two players out of that. One being Hernandez, the other being Mark Sanchez.

Alright, that sounds fair. Do I get a get out of jail free card?

You do get a card. Its a gold card, that reads "prison for life" on it.

Any opinions on Dennis Pitta? I was really hoping to get him, and now he may be something like a last round pick. Or a free agent until he's close to returning, depending on when that is.

So is this an injury that's tough to come back from mid season, or could he offer value in this small pool of preferred tight ends?

I would look elsewhere for a tight end. That's not a position you can afford to carry an extra guy on the bench all year.

In fact I would say the Ravens TE you want (barring a FA signing) would be Dickson. People have been raving about his potential and now he has a chance to show it.
