Ryan Jensen starting out playing center

Our 6th round pick, Ryan Jensen is starting at center stated by John Harbaugh, source Aaron Wilson's twitter (@RavensInsider) Any thoughts? They must not have wanted Gino Gradkowski to start?

Edit: Tweet said "John Harbaugh confirmed that rookie offensive lineman Ryan Jensen will start out playing center"

but I misinterpreted it and thought it meant Jensen would start over Gradkowski.

What? I don't think that means anything about Gino. At least, that's now how I read it. Perhaps I didn't read it right. My interpretation is that he will be beginning his career at center, not guard. He will probably push Gino for a job.

Yeah. If we got a starting center with a sixth round pick, that'd be great, but no way is he getting the nod over Gradkowski.

Jensen will compete with Gino for the spot. But I gotta say Gino is the favorite with one year under his belt.

I like Gino Gradkowski, and when I read Aaron Wilson's tweet it kind of took me off guard. It makes sense though that they'll compete for a job.

No problem. It's hard to decipher text at times. I totally understand. I was like "What?" lol. It makes a lot more sense now. I was a bit surprised as well. I wanted to make sure I didn't hear things wrong.

Yeah, Harbs isn't giving him the starting job automatically. Misinterpreted wrong. That's what I thought he meant at first as well too. Good signing though, apparently he can play any where on the interior so good depth.

LoL.. he means that's the position he'll be slotted in.. not that he's a starter..
