Cook was cut, Dubs.

well thats a bummer I will edit and think of either a TE or another S - I wanted to do Christian Thompson but left him out for suspension, maybe Marc Anthony

Ihedigbo is in an interesting spot. He could not make the cut. I don't think it's guaranteed. I know he had experience here. I think that's his only saving grace. Much like Jameel who is coming off of injury, I think he is around as insurance.

Personally, I think Jameel will start on PUP. I think we'll ease him back. It's what our history suggests to me. We'll use his injury to see what a few on the cusp guys have to offer.

Edit: also, it's important to remind people that Harbaugh is fond of Levine. He mentioned him as a player he was excited for this year in our safety group.

Actually we're at 89, still 1 roster spot open.  Gary Walker was in the 88 discussed earlier in this thread.  Carter is the only new addition.

Assuming a QB or P/K just to take some reps.  I have no clue who that may be, but that's my guess lol.

Kinda surprised they cut him this soon.  Ozzie mentioned him in the WR competition, but I guess that was truly just GM talk.

It's a huge list, but keep me updated on the cuts.

I feel we have a lot of good players that cutting down to 53 is going to be tough. there might be a possibility that one or two of our draft picks won't make the cut due to the depth.

I assume there's going to be a lot of IRs for injuries like a sore back or root canal.

There's no way ihedigbo doesn't make the team. He will be the primary backup and may start Its not set in stone Elam will be ready. Safety is actually a pretty thin group for us especially with the boneheaded suspension from Thompson.

True, with Christian Thompson suspended. Ihedigbo is a solid special teamer, which John Harbaugh likes to keep because special team is one of the three phases of the game. Also, Ihedigbo fits well for the SS mold or as a third safety behind Matt Elam and Michael Huff.

Sure there is. We didn't sign him to a 2-year deal. That would be more indicative of his security. There's no guarantee he makes the team outside of these three facets:

1. Thompson is suspended

2. Young player throughout the safety corps except Huff.

3. ST play

I mean, you never know who will play out of their mind. If some player plays hard, they can beat out Ihedigbo. There's no guarantee. I'm not saying it will happen. I can't predict that. I'm just not saying the decision is already made.

OLB:

Terrell Suggs - OLB
Elvis Dumervil - OLB
Courtney Upshaw - OLB/ILB

John Simon - OLB

ILB:

Arthur Brown - ILB
Jameel McClain - ILB
Albert McClellan - ILB

Josh Bynes - ILB

I think we're pretty much set with our LB Corps.

The only one that is still up for grabs IMO is the fourth ILB. I could see Bryan Hall stealing it from Bynes, only because of how hard working he is.

Bryan Hall seems to me like another Edgar Jones, where the team just shift him around to fill depth.

I don't know about that, mainly because Jameel's health is still a question mark.  Bynes played pretty well last year both at ILB and on ST.  I think they'd rather keep the natural ILB over a converted ILB who will still be learning the position.  That's not to say Hall doesn't have a shot though.

I definitely agree Bynes has a better shot, I just don't think we should count out guys like Bryan Hall who work their butts off.

I think Bynes, Brown, & McClellan are locks at ILB. McClellan provides OLB versatility. Hall has practice squad eligibility, so he & Carr will fight for that spot or perhaps the final spot. Jameel McClain is a toss-up, but I think he will end up on PUP & get activated later. We'll see what we got here and give him some time to rest.

I'm not counting out Hall, but I don't think he makes it in place of Bynes, McClellan, or even McClain.  I'm not sure we'll carry 9 LBs, but if we do, that's where I see someone like Hall factoring in.
