Marc Anthony

He kinda moves and plays more like a safety playing corner, makes good reads and tracks the ball well but he has marginal speed. I'm hoping he becomes more than just a special teamer.

I need to know if this was a good pick.

There' no telling if it's a good pick at this point.

Anthony has the height and length to add bulk and potentially transition to safety. He's clearly more comfortable jamming WRs than playing off but he did look jumping shorter routes. He's aggressiveness in run support and was a decent tackler from what I saw. He's not an top-notch athlete, lacks backpedal, recover and transition speed (part of the reason a move to safety is a realistic possibility), and will need to add a bit more bulk.

There was an...old joke in there. Very old :(

Mark Anthony ? Did we really need to draft a Roman general? Well atleast he and Trent Steelman will get along just fine, since both are from the military. I still have no idea how he recovered from being dead for more than 2000 years though. Probably deer-antler spray.

I can see this guy winning the 4th cb spot from Chykie. Very well rounded cb who will play a lot of ST this year but also has a shot to get a small role on the defense as a rotational/situational db. Probably my favorite value pick on day 3. Asa Jackson is another guy that could contend for the 4th cb spot.

1  - Webb

2 - Jimmy Smith

3 - Corey Graham

4 - Marc Anthony

I think Asa and Chykie are both considerably better in coverage. Anthony isnt bad, but he lacks fluidity and quick hips, and tends to bite on double moves. He plays physically and likes to make the big hit. I think he will be a ST at first and like ER20 said, may eventually transition to safety.

I think we stash him on IR this year. RS season. Since Huff can also play CB, I think we'll carry more safeties. We also have Chris Johnson as well.

I actually think Johnson has the leg up in the battle. He actually played fairly well last year in a pinch and he's a pretty strong veteran leader. He was one that I was surprised we re-signed, but I think his value comes in his presence more than his play. That's not to say he's a bad player, though.

I believe in terms of talent, Marc Anthony and Jimmy Smith are hand and hand aside from JImmy being a bigger player.
