Nfl's Most Overated Player

42 posts in this topic

Fox sports did an issue of top D-lines and NE patriots were at number 1.I'm not taking the article seriously as we were at seven! :o seven!

anyway they said about richard seymour, and I quote:'New England's Richard Seymour anchors one of the best defensive lines in football.' AND:'Richard Seymour is an extraordinary football player,'.

How does he anchor that line, he's probably the worst player on it! and I wouldn't say he's an extraordinary football player, there are ends faster than him, stronger than him, faster and stronger than him, faster, stronger and better tacklers than him, so why is he considered elite?

his sack and tackle counts are average. and he's only forced 3 fumbles in his career.Thats why I think he's the most overated player in the NFL.

I think shawne merriman is super overated, but that might just be because I dont like him.

Shawn Merriman is a far better player than anything the Ravens have to offer!

LOL! yea if you want to compare the 2 in Size....LB vs. Wide Reciever....Porter has the more powerful build of a body BUT i think Chad's mouth gets after anyone more than Porter...or they are about the same...one of the two...or (if you choose to) pick both for that category

I think Porter is more offensive with what he says. Chad says more, but he is more playful.

And to you, I needed to read that a few times, just to make sure it said what i thought it said.

I have decided to make a little list for you, because you don't know of the following ravens:

Terrell Suggs

Trevor Pryce

Haloti Ngata

Kelly Gregg

Bart Scott

Ray lewis

Jarret Johnson

(P.S. NONE OF THE ABOVE USE STEROIDS)

The reason Terrel Owens dropped balls was because he had a ring finger that required surgery but played through it anyways.

He's been dropping passes long before he broke his ring finger...

i think reggie bush i know he is in his second year and there is more then enouth time for him to get great.

But he has never really showen up, imean he never had an 100yd+ game in this 2 years, wich you would expect from a firstrounder of his calibre, even tough he has to share his carries with deuce.

But in reggie's first season didnt he break the rookie reception record or something. (maybe I'm just making that up)

Anyway my point is he isnt one dimensional like alot of running backs.

there cracking down on that kind of thing, to try to keep from happening again, and i totally agree, no tackle, no matter how spectacular it may be, is worth ending your career, or even worse, your life.

Brian Urlacher is sooo overrated. If you run right at him he can tackle you, but he can not cover sideline to sideline like I am used to seeing.

Urlacher is a Good player, but his play is Overrated, i have to admit. i've seen a number of Running backs and whoever else run by him.....if you watch Ray Lewis right now, He's so quick, he's in the hole and in the back field even before the Running back as time to think, resulting in a loss of yards or getting stuffed at the line of scrimmage (watch him against the Bengals and you'll see what im talking about)

He's still vastly overrated especially considering former Bruin Maurice Jones Drew is excelling in the NFL the same way he did at UCLA and that is doing all the things that we were told Bush would do in the NFL. All this and MJD was a 2nd round pick.

So in closing Overrated Bush led in receptions for a rookie. MJD led in TDs scored for the rookies and did them catching, running up the gut, running outside, and returning kicks.

HEY ease off Merriman, he passed 19 of 20 drug test so it was probably some bogus supplement and more importantly he was a Maryland Terrapin.
