I wonder if this was a Jim Caldwell type pick for his offense. Kyle looks like a pretty decent pass catching TE. I can't see them keeping Leach now.

They can probably hold onto leach.  Juice will take the 3rd TE spot.

I think this means that we keep Leach for now, and Kyle is the third TE for this season. Then, Leach doesn't get resigned next season and Kyle moves into a FB/TE spot like Dreessen on the Texans.

I would say it's more just because he is far and away the best FB in this class since he plays TE as well... He's a great player and it's definitely not a reach.
