What I've been curious about since reading it are who these "most" people are. There must be a reason he seemed so confident about Brandon going to guard and I want to know what made him think that.

Probably his friends at the park. You know, the ones he feeds bread.

Oooh.  This is fun.  We should also have Joe Flacco play some DE.  He understands the vision of a QB and can get his long arms up like JJ Watt.

Brandon has the ability to play OG...

But NT is a bigger need.

I'm sure Brandon could play G--Nose Guard.

I know Flacco can play WR. That doesn't make it a good idea.

NO! Oher

If anyone knows how to beat a RT one on one, it is a RT

Then we should move Suggs to LT after that.

If anyone can stop a pass rusher, it is a pass rusher

A RT that gets beaten one on one, at that. :p

I think Steve D might be a better RT than Michael Oher.

Even if he isn't, at least he has a personality; I don't think Oher has ever said anything remotely interesting or entertaining :D

Lol, true. I have hopes for him. I hope he can beat out Michael Oher. I would celebrate if we could upgrade the RT position.

My bold prediction:

Williams proves to be the steal of the draft by year two

Wow. Bold. A bigger steal than even Brown?

Brown has the potential to be one of the, if not the most dominant ILB in the game.

But in front of every great MLB, is a great NT.

Don't get me wrong, Brown was a steal. But this guy in the back of the third is highway robbery. In my opinion, he will be as good or better than Brown. I know it's a hard comparison to make considering their positions, but just his versatility alone is invaluable...he can be a mauling NT in a 3-4, or a pass rushing DE in a 4-3 (well, that's pushing it a little, but he does get penetration and brings pressure).
Maybe "as good or better" weren't the right words, perhaps "as or more valuable" is more accurate

You think so? I think he is a 3-4 NT or a 4-3 NT. I am not saying he offers no pass rush. I just don't see him as a defensive end, personally. I think the world of the kid. He was my second favorite nose tackle in the draft. I just don't see him anywhere besides NT

He will be that rare 3 down NT.....

That alone makes it a steal

Sopoaga was underrated.... I thought he was great.

Now they got Dorsey......

:229031_rofl:

IK lol.
Willis is still a beast however :(
Yet teams can run easier knowing that they don't have to double cover the NT

You guys are pretty harsh on Oher... I love the guy, he works his *** off and is an a real high character guy. His play is maddening at times though... He dominates at times and is dominated others it's not like he is just always 100% awful.

I like Oher, he is a bad LT but I think he's a good RT. I was most happy to see him get a ring than anyone else on Bmore.

I don't want to overstate his pass rush; mainly because we need to see how he adjusts to the athletes in the NFL. But his skill set, versatility and size is a carbon copy of Ngata's...not to say he'll be another Ngata of course.

He is the punching bag. I won't lie. I like to punch on him but I don't hate him. What I like most about Oher is what you said--he has great character. He's a really hard worker. It's just, for whatever reason, the light switch he was supposed to have already turned on has not yet flipped. I don't get it, because he has the tools. I think it's all mental, to be honest.

I think the reason we fans rag on him so much is because we know he can be better. At least, that's how I feel. I think if he was on the left side he would do well with KO at LG. The problem is, I think the FO may be giving up on him, too. That's fine by me.
