I really like this pick now, dude seems like a really genuine good guy, hard working gentle giant. His size and athleticism is very rare. Ozzie & friends had him as a red star prospect too, I think he's gonna be a beast with the proper coaching we have

This guy is a monster. 38 reps at 250lbs at the Combine. His arms are like tree trunks.

OMG!  I bet those arms could throw a QB a mile! ;)

Phone booth speed?

What does that mean?

He's not gonna get a blazing 40 time, but he can cover the distance through a phone booth in a blink. It's how fast you can close those few steps between where a NT lines up and the QB, or move into the hole a RB is gonna go through.

This kid will be our starter sooner rather than later and he has the right mental makeup to make it happen. As soon as he can make that transition from college to the big league, he will be a stud. Loved this pick when we made it.

Welcome to Bmore Brandon and congrats to you and your family, and your little one. I'm just as excited about this pick, as I am with Brown and Elam's. This dude is a freak, and I'm sorry but Cody just isn't what we hoped he would be. Williams is a BEAST, and has dominated every level of competition he has played at. The one major question with him is, how will he play against the next level of talent. A few things tell me that he can/will.

First off just listening to his coaches talk about him, and his strong work ethic, his great demeanor, his massive and impressive frame, his strength, his first step, his motor. This dude is a lunch pale/do work type of RAVEN. He was literally a man among boys at his level. Once he was invited to the combine and senior bowl, he raised his level of performance each and every day, and showed that he can be a formidable force at the next level.

Second I like hearing his story (I highly encourage anyone who doesn't know about him... to watch the several videos on him that are floating around this board specifically and a few other places). His story reminds me of Torrey's. The trials and tribulations he dealt with in his youth, molded him into a well rounded man, who appreciates hard work, who's humble.

The only thing that worries me about him, is his back surgery, and dealing with leaking spinal fluid in the past. It was his sophomore year ( I believe), and he has shown that hes back better than ever. Just hope his body can hold up with the stresses (physically) that playing in the trenches at NFL level can bring to the table.

I like this dude... ALOT, and I'm actually expecting him to play more snaps then Cody this year.

Am I the only one that kinda wants to see him in the 22 jersey just so he can be "Brandon 22"? :p

In seriousness though, it looks like he has a great work ethic and he deserves a legitimate shot at the pros. I don't think he has any real pressure to perform this year either, since it'll be all about Cody with his contract. There's no reason to think he won't work hard to make the best of his chance this year and I'm looking forward to seeing what that translates to in the next year or two.

If he can learn to take on double-teams, we're going to have a LOT of room for Haloti, Suggs, Dumervil, Upshaw and Brown. If teams only single-mark him, hopefully he can get a sack or two to make them start thinking again.

And what's with the rumour that he'll be moved to offence? Surely not....

Where did you hear this?!

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/2013/4/27/4273388/2013-nfl-draft-grades

Ozzie Newsome beats everyone again. The Elam pick in the first round was solid. The trade up to get Brown in the second round was spectacular. He's more Dannell Ellerbethan Ray Lewis, but he may be even better than the new Dolphin. Williams is a little strange. Most predict him to shift to offense.

Then again, he compared Arthur Brown to Dannell Ellerbe so it's likely there's nothing in that. Still, it's a really strange thing to say, especially that "most predict" it.

LMAO what will Brandon Williams play?! Is he going to play LT? He's too damn short! LOL! I know you didn't write this. This is just probably  the dumbest thing I have ever read. Literally. This is one of the stupidest things ever. I'm at a loss for words. I just can't imagine someone writing that.

Arthur Brown is not at all similar to Ellerbe. Well, not exactly. Both can cover better than Ray (I would imagine; Brown hasn't taken a snap in the NFL, so that's hard for me to say--going off his college tape I do believe that) at this point in his career. I just don't understand that. I have also never heard that--ever. That was the first time I ever heard that before.

That guy must be high.

Brandon Williams on offense? Yeah okay. I'll just ignore everything Ozzie and Harbaugh have said since the draft.

It does say on rotoworld that one team worked Brandon Williams out on offense, for what it's worth haha.

While I imagine he'd make a nice fullback that's not getting the best out of him or the talent we have on the roster (I could honestly see him coming on for a couple of special plays). Otherwise, it just seems weird with all the, y'know, offensive players on the board at the time.

Meet our new guard according to Dan Kadar. Smh

Yeah, where is Williams going to play on O?

Guard?

Bring tea for the Tillerman; Steak for the son; Wine for the woman who made the rain come; Seagulls sing your hearts away; 'Cause while the sinners sin, the children play ...

That would be downright frightening.
