Since no one starts a thread for this, I'd like to start one cuz this dude is such a beast...

What impresses me is how athletic he is; 6'1 and 335-pound walking with 2 hands...no joke....

Great Job Oz and FO........

Agreed. He was my favorite NT in the draft. I didn't think we had any shot at Star, so he never really counted. I love Williams. I think he'll be a real steal. EXCELLENT pick.

This guy is a monster. 38 reps at 250lbs at the Combine. His arms are like tree trunks.

Brandon Williams is a true mountain of muscles. He can break up plays just by shoving the offensive lineman back with his arms. Incredible strength and solid phone booth speed make this a classic Ozzie/DeCosta pick in the third round. Elam and Brown seem like near sure things to start, and Williams could very well do so too.

I'm not sure how he fits, he's probably a NT exclusively since he's not long or explosive enough to play DE, but he doesn't have the anchor and ability to dominate the box like the top NT's in the draft. I did see three positives from his Senior Bowl tape, he has a quick first step, good range and high revving motor.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I think his ceiling will be as a solid rotational and pass rushing DT, he's like Antonio Garay in that he plays like a disruptive 4-3 three tech in the body of a NT.

Yea, guy looks like he will be a real steal when it's all said and done. Cody has strength due to his weight and Williams has strength regardless of his weight factor but when you factor that in, he will demand double teams and with his height giving him a low center of gravity like Buddy Lee, guy just has stud written all over him. Curious to see the D-line rotation now and what we will do with Ngata as far as moving him to NT or keeping him at DE or will we move him around.

He may not be a superstar, but he will be something very good.
A 3 down NT

Kelly Gregg wasn't a superstar, but by god he was a good NT. I would settle for having a good NT that we got in the 3rd over having a potential superstar that we had to trade up and give a ton to get.

to be completely honest, i would give up a first rounder to get the young version of buddy lee. he was a beast in the middle of the defense. williams has the potential to become a similar player.

he was one of my favorite players for the mid rounds. i always like them athletic freaks...lol

think we will have another webb kind of impact out of the third...

gregg was amazing.

we really took him for granted.   seeing his old clip in ravens jersey really shows you why defense like ours were so dominant in front 7.   i hope we get our defense back.   ozzie is making sure that will happen again.

I know most of us were shaking our heads when Jamaal Charles, DeMarco Murray, Alfred Morris and others were having their days against us last year mid-season. That ain't Ravens football, and Elam, Arthur Brown, and Brandon should all help out nicely, along with the free agents. 2000 Ravens level run D is unrealistic, but getting back to anywhere near there would be awesome.

Phone booth speed?

What does that mean?

phone booth is a tight space, like in between a guard and centre, tight.

That make MUCH more sense than what I was thinking.

Great pick. Makes you wonder though, was he selected to replace Ngata and his huge contract in a few years?

Agreed. I have wanted Williams for a long time and actually thought he might not make it to the Ravens, when he was still on the board it was a no brainer imo.

If someone said Elam Brown and Williams would be Ravens in their mock draft people would have called it fantasy. I really like it so far.

All three rounds we've gotten steals. Matt Elam was supposed to go earlier than where we picked at. Brown was supposed to be taken in the 1st round as well. He very well may have been the number 1 ILB we had on our boards overall. Getting that red star is very impressive and means a lot to what they think about him. Brandon Williams will be a steal in my opinion. He is a mountain, and unlike the fake "Mt." Cody, we have the real "Mt." Williams. He seems like a guy who will come in and give his all and improve on his technique with NFL training experts. I compare him to a young Casey Hampton. I have a very good feeling about these three picks, and think that these three will be our foundation for years to come on our D. Well done Ozzie.

If we come away with a receiver in the 4th, I will be extremely pleased with this draft. Three receivers I'm seeing as possibilities are Quinton Patton, Da'Rick Rogers, and Ryan Swope. All three can contribute to our team right away if given the chance. I'd rather have Rogers or Swope rather than Patton, but its too hard to narrow it down further than that. If I had to though, I'd say Swope, because he's another Anquan Boldin except with very good speed.
