Hey guys, like my sig?

As you can tell I'm extremely happy that we got the best ILB in the draft.

:D

Felt the same way on Teo.  Not as early as you did but definitely felt the same.

Decent player but even his old teammates were telling scouts they thought he was a bit phony.

As for Brown, it would have been perfect if Ray had announced the pick but I'm not complaining :D

I'm really happy we got this player. Apparently, Eric was sweating it a bit. They thought they were going to lose Brown. Hence why they traded up. I'm very happy they did. I would have hated to lose him to the Texans. I'm extremely happy we got Arthur Brown. Hell of a football player. We have revitalized our defensive front 7 & the back-end. This was probably the best draft we have had in a long time. I love all of these picks. Honestly, I know LT is a big need & so is WR for some, but I don't even care what we do the rest of the way. This was a phenomenal draft so far. I had Arthur Brown & Matt Elam as 1st round picks. I had Brandon Williams as a 2nd round grade. This was a terrific draft.

All three of these guys we're bringing in are excellent leaders. Along with the players we already had, we now have an additional leader for every level of our D now. DB- Elam. LB- Brown. DL- Williams. Very impressive.

Couldn't be happier with this pick, especially after seeing teams reach on Alonso and Bostic.  I honestly think we got the best out of all of the ILBs.  He just seems to fit the Ravens mantra.

I'm really happy that we traded Anquan Boldin, who would help us acquire Arthur Brown. I am also happy we lost Jarrett Johnson & Corey Redding, who would later turn into compensatory selections that would allow us to be more willing to part with the picks required to trade up to acquire Arthur Brown.

These little moves, which we as fans become enraged by when we initially hear them & see our team struggle into the season, are one of the reasons why we have the best front office in the entire NFL.

I watched a lot of Brown's interview a couple of months ago.  And Brown always came off as level-headed and smart.  Good character guy.

I really applaud the Ravens this year in that regard.  They lose Reed and Lewis and bring in three guys who are vocal, smart and have good leadership qualities (but not over powering characters).

FYI, another tidbit for those of you who don't know.  Arthur Brown's brother is Eagles RB Byrce Brown.

When i first started watching tape on arthur brown i wasn't too impressed, but the more i watched the more i liked him. He was definitely one of the lbs i wanted us to draft and he will fit nicely inside our defense. His size is not a concern to me, and his sideline to sideline speed will really be key especially when we play spread and zone read offenses. He also has great tackling form which allows him to make open field tackles despite the runners size. With him and elam we really get two defenders who are playmakers at their position, consistent tacklers, and know how to defend the run. And i'm sure arthur brown (matt elam and actually the whole defense) is jumping up and down after the brandon williams pick. He is a huge pick for us and will really sure up the run defense in the middle and allow arthur brown to run freely and tackle ball carries (along with suggs, upshaw, dummervil, elam, huff and the rest of our defense).

I was sure that we would get Elam or Brown not both!  This is better than I expected.  Thank goodness the draft is rolling along at a quick pace.  I'm planning to wait until our final pick of the 3rd round before I switch the channel.  Do we go for an OT like Fragel or a WR like Swope?

Reminded me of when we got both Jimmy and Torrey. I wanted both but figured only one was a realistic possibility than somehow we landed both. I pretty much had the same train of thought, most likely we'll draft Brown/Elam, whoever is there at 32 and whichever position we didn't get in the first would be our second round pick. Yet, it was BOTH Elam and Brown.

Not gonna lie, I'm more excited about Brown than Elam. But both of them...geez, so exciting!

Same.

But think about it, both of these guys can make plays behind the LOS with their recognition and short area quickness.

Can't run down the middle with Ngata/Williams/Spears/Canty.  Can't bounce to the outside with Upshaw and Suggs sealing the edges and if you do, you won't get far with Elam and Brown swarming in..

Yes, yes. I love it. Very, very happy with these selections. Very happy. It's unreal.

This isn't like Inception, right? A dream within a dream?

I love it. Welcome to Baltimore, Arthur. Watched the presser with DeCosta. He said he was their highest player at that time and once a few other Defensive guys started going, they decided to pounce. He said he was scared of missing out on him. You know they guy's amazing then. I'm excited about both Brown and Elam. Equally. I saw Elam's one on one with Garret and I love the guy's confidence and just how genuinely excited he is to be here. He said laying the wood is his job description. Him and Huff in the backfield with Webb and Jimmy...ouch. And maybe I'm just not that up-to-speed, but who did Arthur Brown have on the d-line helping him out? Guarantee they weren't nearly as good as our d-line. I think he's gonna make a big impact. And after getting Brandon Williams, that's just gonna help even more.
