Anyone an avid Pokemon master on this board? I am in love with Black/White 2, better than the first two, I think. I haven't played much of the older ones in a while, I've been wanting to re-play my old Blue version, but haven't had the time recently.

When I was a kid the first games were dope, even the 2nd a 3rd generations aren't bad.

Now its just sad.

Yeah, the first 3 were the best. I haven't played the 4th yet because well, the Pokemon are god awful. The 5th, I feel like is a huge step up from the 4th, but nothing will ever compare to the first 3. The 6th I'm going to buy soley because its in 3D. Don't even care.

What they need to do is make a live action Pokemon game, Like a World of Warcraft except in the pokemon world. It would be hard to do on a handheld but tell me that wouldnt be one of the greatest games ever.

I've beat red, blue, yellow, sapphire, ruby and silver lol My youngest had problems keeping up with his brothers so I did it -- it's been awhile and my youngest is 17.

I knowww. That would be the greatest. All of the regions, pick whichever starter you wanted, incorperate Snap in there somewhere, with Skyrim graphics and the way it plays (side missions, free roam, etc.) = easily the best video game ever.

I've been trying to get my hands on Sapphire for a while now (they're impossible to find for under $20) because I sold my old one awhile ago when I was going through that "I'm too old for Pokemon" phase haha.

Big time Pokemon master. I play my Black 2 about three times a week lol. I grew up with Pokemon, even owned Pokemon Pinball back in the day lol.

I hope instead of making new ones they reboot the old style ones with maybe a couple features and side things added. Finding the legendaries (Articuno, Moltres, Zapados, Mew, Mewtwo, Ho-OH, Lugia) is what made the game.

Been playing recently, played Yellow, Red and Crystal. Though I don't have a GB or anything, there is a good website that allows you to play old games.

I haven't played Pokemon in ages but it was my life from about '00 to '02. I definitely plan on getting a GB Color and Advance at some point and playing through Generations 1-3.

Has anyone here gotten into EV training?

I've looked into it, but I could never quite figure it out.

Same, but with white haha. The plot is so intense, and the cut scene visuals are sooooo awesome.

I played through Blue, Yellow, Silver, Platinum, Emerald, Crystal, and I recently went through Black 2. The games were always fun to play. Will be getting Pokemon X this year.

I'm glad I still have my GB Color cause I still go back and play Crystal sometimes.

It's pretty detailed. I only found out about it around two years ago when I played Emerald. I might give it a crack if/when I do replay the earlier games.

I tried it but it's tedious as hell.

Its awesome how they put stuff like this is the game to keep the older fans excited as well.

4 new Gen 6 Pokemon confirmed via CoroCoro in Japan.

Even though I'll likely never play the game, I'm actually looking forward to info being released on Awakened Mewtwo.

Just out of curiosity, what would be everyone's dream lineup (including all Generations)?

Some of my favorite Pokemon ever above with Umbreon being my absolute favorite.

Charizard (Favorite since I've been a kid)

Espeon

Krookodile

Gyarados

Blissey (She's like a wall haha)

Lucario

And of course an all Eeveelutions team would be awesome as well.

I love Primeape. He could annihilate a Darkrai. Lol, people would get crushed by my Primeape. I looked forward to fighting Darkrai with him.

The first 3 are still the best. Honestly the limited number of pokemon and the significance of the legendaries were what made the game. My dream lineup would probably be

Mewtwo - seriously, he made the original games

Gengar

Articuno

Sandshrew

Dewgong

and of course

Yeah I didn't mind them increasing to 250 and having brand new cities and badges but I agree the first three were just so good. I still play them to this day.

I dont mind the increase in pokemon, and I didnt mind the additional maps, but what I did mind was how repetitive and diluted it got as the game progressed.

I mean adding legendaries is a bad idea, but making getting every legendary basically the same process was a horrible idea. I mean im sick of travelling through a stupid building or cave for many of the legendaries.

On another note, I did enjoy Entei Suicune etc... being found in the wild. I found that to be better, but the completely random structure and painful method of finding and looking for them was just too tedious.

They need to find a middle ground or to make the quest for each legendary unique in some way.

I liked how they approached the Regis. I thought that well very well done.

It was better, but still more of the same vein for me. I always personally hated how the starters were impossible to find/catch in the games. Makes 0 sense why they never tried to incorporate them.
