Explanation of how Rookie Cap will impact Ravens overall Cap

9 posts in this topic

Brian McFarland ‏@RavensSalaryCap Ravens are currently $3.845M under Salary Cap. Will only need ~$1.2M to fit in draft picks.

Explanation here ->

The numbers will change a bit because the Ravens are likely to move around a bit, but barring a huge trade up, the numbers will be in the same ballpark.  An update will posted after the draft, once the actual picks are known.

The trade up to get Brown, meaning a higher 2nd rounder and the loss of 2 draft picks changes things slightly......

Ravens will have a Rookie Cap of approx $5.35M, but will only need approx $1M in overall Cap space to fit their 10 draft picks under Cap
