Ravens in NFL Top 100 Players of 2013

580 posts in this topic

When was the list done, because if it was after the first denver game...

About this time last year. I'm pretty sure Joe came in somewhere in the 70's for the 2012 list. Thats what kills me about Bayless: In the spring of 2012,  Joe's peers put him in the top 100 for his anticipated performance for the 2012-13 season, where he won a SB and got MVP. But this mutt thinks they'll leave him off the list completely for the 2013-14 season, smh.

Congrats to Sizzle for being the 56th ranked player. Pretty amazing considering his injury last season. I hope he heals up and rises in rank next year.

I believe I heard on NFL Network that the list was made starting around week 10 and went through the playoffs in the 2012 season. So Flacco MAY be on this list considering it started in week 10 when we went in that weird funky mode and lost 3 straight, but I do believe he is on this list, then again, a lot of Flacco haters out there which I will never understand.

Nice to see that Suggs was in there.   I thought he might miss the top 100 b/c of his injuries, but props to him comming back w/ the achilles tear.

The rest of the TOP 100 should be:  Ray Rice, Joe Flacco, Haloti Ngata, Vontae Leach, Dannell Ellerbe(now Dolphins), Elvis Dumervil

Players that should be in top 100 probably wont be:  Osemele, Torrey Smith, Yanda, Corey Graham

Ellerbe isn't a top 100 player in the NFL.  Nor is Graham or Osemele.

Not saying Flacco doesn't deserve to be in it or anything, and in fact I think he's the fifth best QB in the league, but I would not be surprised if he's not in the list...

Ellerbe is good and all, but is nowhere near as good as the Phins paid him.

He's on the list. I can almost guarantee it.

If Pitta is on the list, there's absolutely zero chance Flacco isn't.

idk man I think the list was made b4 the playoffs right?

Do you think Pitta would be on the list if it were? Lol. They started voting before the playoffs, but it continued until after the Super Bowl.

It was said there are 9 Ravens on the list. NINE. Can most people even name 9 Ravens without including Flacco?

that's a good point but the list is always horrible. Jacoby Jones was on there...

I will be stunned if Flacco isn't on the list.

I think Jacoby was on there though because of his punt/kick return threat too. Devin Hester was on there last year because people feared kicking to him.

You said they should be on it.  Im saying in no world are those two guys top 100.  Osemele has a chance to be in a few years.

If Flacco was on it last year, I'd be stunned if he missed it this year.

But yeah the list is terrible anyway. Jared Allen at #60? Get out.

Imagine if Flacco is #1.

I've imagined winning the powerball, but I can't imagine this.

However, I can't imagine him not being on the list, either.  There is actually a Raven's bias in our favor for once.  Jacoby, Pollard, Pitta... They are great players for us, but top 100 in the whole league for this upcoming year... Let's hope so, at least in terms of Jacoby and Pitta.

There are 10 more QBs on the list after Kaep, Stafford, Big Ben and Wilson.  I will guarantee Brees, Rodgers, Peyton, Brady, Luck and RG3 (the last two have to be after Wilson) are on there.  That means Eli, Romo, Cutler, Newton, Dalton, Rivers, Schaub and Ryan will be joining Flacco in the fight for the final four spots.  I'm confident Vick and Freeman will not be on the list again, and I doubt Newton will again or Dalton will be for the first time.  I could probably add Ryan to the guarantee list after last season.  I think Flacco and Eli will be on there, but I can't figure the last one.  It's probably between Romo, Rivers and Schaub, and they will probably be up soon because I doubt they'll be too high.

This. If Boldin, who caught 4 TD passes in the regular season, is on the list, than Flacco has to be on the list as well. I guess, he might just end up higher up on the list, than some of us even expect. 11 TDs to 0 INT are really hard to ignore.

My original guess was in the 60s to 50s area, but now I might have to pick a spot in the 30s, maybe even 20s.

If Ellerbe is above ILBs like Derrick Johnson and Daryl Washington and in the top 50, I'm done.

I loved Ellerbe in his tenure here but there is no way he is better than either ILB or a top 50 player.

I'd have to think the only ILBs left are Willis and Bowman unless I'm forgetting someone, so that would make Ellerbe a top 3 ILB if he were on the list.

Ellerbe Osemele Graham wouldn't be in the top 200 let alone top 100..

Not trying to hate on them just saying there are plenty of more established players deserving of the top 100

If Flacco is not on that list, the list has NO credibility.

With such a low percentage of players voting, the list doesn't have much credibility anyhow. Also, if they did start around week 10, that's way too early to project for 2013.

Flacco has been on the list the last two years. While low (80s-90s), he was still on the list. Now that he has MVP pedigree he is definitely in the top 50 and probably top 20.

LOL....that would be great 'cause Skip Clueless would probably drop dead on the spot! Ahh, what a wonderful world it would be.
