Hahahaha please. That is laughable to compare 2012 season of Flacco to Big Ben's season. Also to complain about that, but not talk about Matt Ryan in 17 despite doing terrible in the playoffs. Sorry, regular season isn't everything. Maybe next year, buddy.

Well you know the real way to evaluate a QB is the regular season! Who cares about the post season!

I think it's funny that Ryan Clark (FS for the Steelers) is praising Ed Reed and then Dameshek decides to start talking about Troy Polamalu.

What a tool.

YES! And you also have to account for those Almost interceptions. Those are worse than actual interceptions

Oh my God, Greg Rosenthal on NFL.com is so damn salty that he re-posted the article about the Ravens being overrated in the Top 100 list. I'm loving every second of this.

NFL.com has an article talking about if the Ravens on the list are over rated. Give me a break. Matt Ryan not on the list last year AT ALL, is in the top 20 all because of one playoff win that could still be at zero if not for a bone head move by Petey.

RG3 higher than Luck and Wilson was already a joke to begin with, now he's ahead of a guy who just got the Super Bowl MVP. Right so apparently a injured RG3 is better than his rookie counterparts and better than the Super Bowl MVP? Kirk Cousins deserves to be on this list, not RG3.

That timeout at the end. Icing the kicker never works.

He also decided to go for it on two separate occasions when he should've taken the FGs.

I forgot about when he tried to go for it. I just remember that stupid icing the kicker which would have worked without the need for a timeout.

ill keep it short and sweet ... Matt Bryant kicked the kick way after the whistle blew to get a free kick..  Pete Carroll  even said he had that lil mini freak out because the refs  told them before the game that teams cant have a practice kick during a timeout (Wasnt it the Ravens that did that the day before) .. Look at the replay .. Carroll said it himself... Matt Bryant said it himself.. Them trying to sneak in a free kick messed up the timing ..

Come on man.. yall just won the Superbowl.. The Matt Ryan hatred is this bad but yall talk about some falcons fans (who i admit got a strong hatred for Flacco) .. You guys hate Matt Ryan just as much.

Thats why i respect Ed Reed... He took up for his former QB that just won a superbowl as he should.. Flacco got a ring man... He also kept it real and said of his on free real.... Matt Ryan - "He's a bad Boy...."

I don't hate Matt Ryan, though I do hate things that are overrated by the media. It's laughable how he gets a pass while Romo gets killed. They are exactly the same person, except that Romo is more athletic.

Not sure what reason a Falcons fan would have to hate Flacco though. He's certainly not overrated by anyone.

That wasn't aimed at Ryan it was aimed at the author of the article who said postseason isn't the way to evaluate a QB. Sorry, I actually like Ryan as QB.

Matt Ryan ahead of Joe Flacco is a travesty. After all that's happened, this list is still a sham year after year lol. Drew Brees didn't really have that great of a season and RGIII didn't make it even as far as Russell Wilson. Yet both of them are ahead of Joseph. I should be used to stuff like this I guess. Joe outplayed Tom Brady the last, what, 3 times? Ravens D had Brady seeing ghosts.

Brady and Manning clearly have easy divisions and lose to hard teams. The Ravens had tons of hard nosed teams to overcome. Joe may not have the flashy stats, but he leads a tough team that wins by all means necessary. I'd be willing to bet that with Jim Caldwell and more no huddle, Joe's gonna put up bigger numbers. They'll have no choice but to crown Joe as a top QB.

Wow this thing is ridiculous. Drew Brees at 11? Yeah right. RGIII that high? No way. Matt Ryan did very well this season but RGIII should be where Luck is, Brees where Flacco is and Flacco where Brees is. Ryan should be where RGIII is.

When it comes to the top 20, it can get pretty stupid. Yes the players (mostly) deserve to be there.

Let's not get carried away. I actually think Brees is underrated.

Fans of choke artist QBs always blame their defense, but Brees (who's not a choker) can actually use that as an excuse. Worst defense EVER, at least statistically. If they can even get that defense to 25th they win that division going away.

So I was right in not even caring at all about this list when they started announcing the top 100 months ago (it seems)....

List is a complete joke.. Top to bottom

See this.. I dont understand.. One QB has been to the playoffs 1 time in the last 5 years.... One QB has only missed the playoffs once in 5 years (The year he broke a toe and missed 2  games.. Which they lost those games) .

One QB has actually made Turnovers that cost his team a chance to make the playoffs... One has the most game winning drives/4th quarter comebacks since he has been in the league.

One QB is 36-31 in the last 5 years.... One QB is 56-22 (The most wins by any QB in there first 5 years)

One QB showed last year he must have a run game to succeed... One showed he can win without a run

game.

Im not even trying to dog Romo out because i like Romo actually ... If the guy can fix the Turnover problem he can be a championship QB... I think Jerry Jones is the big problem for that team... But back to the subject... How is Romo and Ryan the same guy ?

I will say this tho.. As a Falcons fan.. When i saw Flacco's top 100 video.. I was like wow.. This is more nitpicky then giving the man props for being a top 20 player/top 10 QB.... I do think Flacco dont get the full respect/credit he deserve.

Im sure Flacco dont care 1% tho.. He has a ring and a full bank account... I just know raven fans care and dude doesnt get his due

lol.. Ok

Here is what I don't understand about Falcons fans when this subject comes up, and I'm not necessarily talking about you (you contribute to good discussion and I do hope you stick around). If you bring up Ryan vs. Flacco, and point to Flacco's wins, Falcons fans will say "who cares, wins are a team stat. Ryan's individual stats are better."

Then if you bring up Romo vs. Ryan, the fact that he plays on a comparatively talent-deficient team, and the fact that he has better stats and owns one of the highest regular season passer ratings of all time, Falcons fans will say "who cares about the stats, Romo doesn't win." Which one is it?

And honestly, I don't put much stock in 4th quarter comebacks. Don't play like crap in the 1st-3rd quarters and you won't need a comeback. Isn't one of the 4th quarter comebacks that Oakland game? Yeah, I saw that game, and let me say that that sort of comeback is not at all impressive.

I don't want to hear about turnovers either. Romo has kept his team out of the playoffs with turnovers, and similarly, Ryan has kept his team from advancing further by continuously turning over the ball in the postseason. If he doesn't fumble that snap against SF you all win, I guarantee it.

To me Ryan and Romo and the same guy...baby Peytons. Great for fantasy football but I can't entirely trust them in the clutch. They're both good QBs but that's just how I see it.

I didn't want to quote your other post because it would make scrolling more difficult but I have something to say about Flacco and Ryan and all that.

People who like Ryan point to how he puts up great individual stats a lot. People who like Flacco point to wins. In reality the truth is both sides are usually biased to a degree with a preset notion. That's the truth. That's why I don't care. It's all opinion. The reality is both guys are terrific players at their position. I'm not sure you can really separate them as much as fans want. The truth is that they're both just very good.

ratedr has a good point. I think people often feel like there had to be a number one and two and unnecessarily see a need to rank players to determine their worth. What's interesting is that people can't recognize that both guys are great. They feel like one must be better than the other. It's like Coke and Pepsi. Their worth sadly can't be so easily quantified.

Both players are great leaders and lead very differently. Ryan had to be the leader who shows he is a leader. Joe had to be the quiet guy who gets it done. One came to a franchise looking for hope and leadership after a scandal rocked it. Another had a well established leader who is seen as the greatest leader of all time in sports. I don't believe Flacco could be the leader with Ray here. He would've looked silly and people would question him and say he was trying to steal the team and it would cause division.

I think both teams got the QB the needed and also the ones they deserved. They're both equally as good
