RIP to one of the greatest voices in American sports history.

He was probably the best play by play man in the business, I grew up listening to him call games. He'll be missed.

Even though I didn't become a hardcore football fan until 2003, I grew up listening to Pat Summerall. I didn't realize how good he was until after he'd retired and I listened to some of his old games.

At one point, I tried copying his broadcast style; much harder than it looks/sounds, to be so simplistic and yet so good.
