Internet Explorer issues.

13 posts in this topic

Since the arrival of my new computer, Internet Explorer has been a little faulty here on the boards. This also happened on my old PC. Internet explorer does not allow me to use the enter key so I can skip lines, but other browsers like Google Chrome do allow me too. Is this a problem that can be fixed for those who do use Internet Explorer?

You mean you want to run Chrome in Windows 8 mode? If so, just click on the menu and select the option to do so

IE would always be my last choice in browser, personally. And you can run any of them from Windows 8.

Just checked with our developers on this. This is actually an issue with IE10. Chrome, Firefox and others all work fine at the moment. We will soon be updating our board software which will fix some of these quirks with IE10 as well. (We would also suggest running IE10 in normal browser mode, rather then the new "metro mode," as that does solve some of the issues. Or, as others have suggested, use Chrome or Firefox.)

We are working on improvements/fixes as well on our end.

Thanks. I am guessing you cannot do the same with ITunes?

Five years ago Internet Explorer was giving all kinds of problems. So I called their IT department to help remedy that. Well, they wanted about $150 to fix their browser. So the next day, I took my computer to a computer shop and they downloaded Mozilla for no charge.

I have been using Mozilla ever since and have had not one problem and love it!
