Boston Marathon Explosions

I don't know if there are any other threads on it or what the policy on topics of this nature are but is anyone seeing this? Thoughts on the matter?
Supposedly there have been 3 explosions so far according to CBS. This was very worrisome to me personally since my cousin lives in Boston and usually attends the marathon. Glad he didn't today though.

22 injured. 2 dead. According to CBS. NBC reporting on twitter pennsylvania avenue is being closed off and that they were most likely IED's. I would quote but it's hard on mobile.

Police are now referring to them as bombs. Receiving calls about more possible devices.

It has to be deliberate. What are the chances that a gas line explodes on the day of and at the finish line of the Boston Marathon? There are sick people out there. Hope everyone that was injured pulls through.

Sick, sick people! I ran back in '03. It's such a wonderful race put on by wonderful people. It makes me sick that there is something that evil in people that would make them do something like this. Just makes me physically sick. Praying for Boston today! It makes me want to find a deserted island somewhere and just take my husband and sons with me to it; just get away from all this violence.

Possible suspect already IDd and in a Boston hospital. That was quick. Hopefully the dumb [profanity deleted] blew his own limbs off.

Pictures of the injuries are very graphic, worst one I saw was a young man probably mid 20's early 30's range in a wheelchair missing most of his leg below the knee. Very disturbing. Possible suspect caught on tape. Hopefully they can confirm it and put the scumbag away.

New york post is reporting 12 dead and 50 injured at this point and that the suspect is being guarded at a nearby hospital.

Rumors are spreading so fast. I wish the networks would stick to what is actually confirmed and not contribute to the spreading of stuff that may or may not be true. Someone says cell phone service is down and then they say "that's not likely true" then they keep talking about it without clarifying. AT&T and Verizon have to issue statements that it isn't down, just clogged.

Right now we really don't know how many devices have been found, if any. It's causing panic and stress.

I am still stunned. Speechless. I worked up in Boston in '07 and fell in love with that city. So senseless. How much more insane can the world get?


I am going to keep myself away from the news coverage as much as I can: 1) I can't bear to watch and 2) I have to protect myself.
