How many QBs have ever had as good of a 4-game stretch as Joe Flacco?

I hear your point but I wouldn't go so far to call it a steal. Yes Sam Bradford got a ton of money (stinker). And there was practically one day of backlash relative to Joe's still ongoing backlash when Romo signed. And as you all know, NFL players make their money in the regular season NOT the post season which is why it actually isn't laughable (but really is very laughable) that Ryan and Stafford will get more.

But if there is a steal, it's Eli's contract. That's what happens when front offices go cheap and low ball people, their hand gets forced. No reason why Joe should have taken a team friendly contract so kudos to him. They 15m they were offering him was basically saying he was on par with Matt Schaub.

Now let's just hope we have a stud to go alongside KO on the left-side this season!

As far as Eli's contract goes, remember he was paid BEFORE he won his second Superbowl and before Drew Brees' deal. And the first year of the deal he led the league in interceptions with 25. In retrospect it was a great deal, but at the time there was a ton of criticism in paying a quarterback that kind of money when most people were still of the opinion his post-season run in 2007 was some kind of fluke.

I'm happy that Joe's capable of playing like the best.

This stats proves it done and seal.

Other fans from other teams can criticize Joe as an ordinary QB, but at least we got a QB who can win Super Bowls unlike half the league. A lot of judgment and expectation will be on Flacco this upcoming season. Since we're paying Flacco to be great, I hope Ozzie gets aggressive and surrounds Flacco with more offensive talents. I might not mind for the team trying to get that high 2nd/late 1st round picks to get two solid players for the offense. I hope Flacco the best and I will support him all the way until his contract is either extended or terminated in 6 years. I hope for the former and believe Flacco will be a raven for life like Ray Lewis.

I wish our trifecta (Flacco, Rice, Smith) produce big numbers this year.

That 4 game stretch should bring big numbers.

Flacco's 2013 Key Playoff Stats:
4 Playoff Games - 117.2 QB Rating - 73 Completion - 126 Attempts - 1140 yards - 11 TDs - 1 Turnovers - 6 Sacks

Stats Prediction on 16 Game Season:
16 Possible Games - 110+ QB Rating - 292 Completion - 504 Attempts - 4560 yards - 44 TDs - 4 Turnovers - 24 Sacks

That Type of Stat is on par of Aaron Rodgers' MVP and

Aaron Rodgers' 2011 MVP Season Stats:
15 Games - 122.5 QB Rating - 343 Completion - 502 Attempts - 68.3% Comp - 4643 yards - 45 Passing TDs - 3 Rush TD - 6 TO - 36 Sacks

Tom Brady's 2010 MVP Season Stats:
16 Games - 111.0 QB Rating - 324 Completion - 492 Attempts - 65.9% Comp - 3900 yards - 36 Passing TDs - 1 Rush TD - 5 TO - 25 Sacks

Tom Brady's 2007 MVP Season Stats:
16 Games - 117.2 QB Rating - 398 Completion - 578 Attempts - 68.9% Comp - 4806 yards - 50 Passing TDs - 2 Rush TD - 12 TO - 21 Sacks

Obviously, Rodger's 2011 MVP season stats look far superior to Brady's 2010 MVP, but on par of Brady's monster 2007 season. I believe Flacco should have a better season, if we find a way to replace Anquan Boldin's production.

Anquan Boldin's Playoff Production:
22 Receptions - 36 Targets - 61.1% Catch % - 380 yards - 4 TDs

Expand to 16 Games:
88 Receptions - 144 Targets - 1520 yards - 16 TDs

The type of production Anquan Boldin gave in the playoff was an All-Pro type of production. Since we sent him off to San Francisco, Ozzie knows that we need to find a way to duplicate that type of possible production in our offense. Boldin might have been slow, aging, and past his prime seasons, but he gave his all and lived up to his All-Pro days during the playoffs. I have faith we will find a player to make up for Boldin's lost production. In the draft, Ozzie will find a WR that will succeed in our offense.

Torrey Smith Playoff Production:
11 Receptions - 25 Targets - 44% Catch % - 233 yards - 21.2 Y/R - 2 TDs

Expand to 16 Games:
44 Receptions - 100 Targets - 932 yards - 8 TDs

Expand to 16 Games according to his Y/R:
60 Reception - 21.2 Y/R - 1272 yards

Smith have shown a lot of potential and have almost broke the 1000 yard mark in his two years here. It's true that when we drafted him, he was raw and had a lot of trouble adjusting to the offense. He has changed a lot from those days. This upcoming year will be big for Torrey Smith since he has to fill some big shoes as the #1 WR for the offense. A lot of teams will start doubling Torrey due to his big play ability and speed, so the offense has to find a way for Smith to get involved more. That 21.2 Y/R times let's say 60 receptions could be 1272 yards in production, which could be bigger, if the balls goes to Smith's hands more. Flacco can bomb the ball and Smith is the perfect complement for the vertical game.

Ray Rice Playoff Production:
84 Carries - 306 Rushing Yards - 8 receptions - 88 Receiving yards - 2 TDs

Expand to 16 Games:
336 Carries - 1224 Rushing Yards -32 receptions - 352 Receiving yards - 8 TDs

Ray Rice is still producing solid numbers even though he was overshadowed by his 3 fumbles, which is uncharacteristic of him. I assume the team will try to down size his carries to below 300 as it has over the past 2 years to prolong his effectiveness. Also, his 69.5 reception average in the past 4 years really shows that he is a perfect fit for our offense as an all-purpose back. Therefore, if the offense does go for a more pass-centric offense, Ray Rice will still be effective due to his ability to be in passing game.

I have big expectation for this team to finally be a top 10 offense after Flaccos breakout 4-game Joe Montana-like production.
