Brandon Lloyd?

It clearly depends how the draft goes. If we don't get the guy we want, I'd consider him at the vet minimum. Otherwise, no.

Not a fan of Lloyd, think he is overrated.

A lot of free agent wide outs have injury history. Austin Collie if healthy would be a great pick up. maybe even laurent robinson and Danario Alexander

Alexander is a RFA, SD will match any offer you throw at him knowing he's there best WR. I would sign Lloyd over Robinson

Whoever we draft, he'll need to rotate with a veteran. I think Lloyd would be the best candidate.

He had a +1000 yards. Never injured. And probably cheap. You could also take him away from Pats. Patriots will look for another #2 now that e.sanders deal didnt wirk out.

I love Lloyd as a possible number 2. That's when he's at his best. I have a feeling he's going back to NE, though, after they missed on Sanders. If he can be among the top receivers in the league for a season with Kyle Orton...bring him in. Unless we get Hopkins in the first, I really do want Lloyd. I think any other receiver drafted early could play just as well with Lloyd, but with Hopkins, Lloyd would just be superfluous with his skill set. Any chance to get a receiver with hands that good is a chance you need to capitalize on.

Do not want him. When the game's on the line he disappears.

Eh, I don't know. I really don't like Lloyd, but he wouldn't be an awful signing depending on the deal, how much, how long, etc. I'd prefer Danario Alexander, but I would expect him to either be too expensive or just too much of an injury risk.

There are definitely worse options we woulc be talking about picking up and he's had his moments at times, but I would much rather us pick up someone through the draft. Still for the vet min I wouldn't mind let's him come in and compete.

I wouldn't mind taking a shot at Lloyd, but I'd much rather go for a first or second round receiver.

Lloyd was very good when he was with the Rams a couple years back. I wouldn't mind getting him if we can't find anyone in the draft.

At a Raven's price...

He's a vet and a productive player but we have alot of talent that hasn't been proven. We need to test those guys (WR) and see what we actually have. If Ozzie and Co. isn't sold on what we have this looks like just the kind of signing we'd make (assuming a low price tag). From that perspective I think we are content to go through the draft and see where we stand then before signing anymore vets, even if its on the cheap unless we have a very stellar deal approach us (ex. Doom, R.McClain).

PS - How good has this offseason been?! I can't complain.

I don't think that Lloyd will make it to the draft before he is signed. The Patriots wanted him back but just didn't want to pay his $3M roster bonus.

Since the Ravens parted with Boldin, this is the perfect chance for the Ravens to evaluate the rest of their depth at WR. If the remaining WRs turn out to be mediocre, i'm sure the Ravens explore a trade/FA/draft prospect next year or mid season. Tommy Streeter could turn out to be a poor man's Calvin Johnson with some hard work and experience/playing time. Deonte Thompson also possess elite speed and good size, and just needs to put in work and time to learn the WR position. Im not sold on Tandon Doss but he can run routes and catch well. David Reed has combination of skills but was always hurt till now. It won't make much sense to continue to burying these guys down the depth chart, this is the perfect opportunity to see if they can emerge as good starters, if we don't - then im convinced we are just wasting time and picks.

Depends on how the draft goes. If we dont get an impact player I would like Lloyd. He had a disappointing year and still caught 74 passes for over 900 yards. For cheap, I would definitely take him.

Would rather take a receiver in the draft. There are plenty of options there.
[/quote]

or you can do both. if one doesnt pan out, you can switch to lloyd. a-la 'a.j. jenkins(1st rounder of 2012) & randy moss' move of 49ers.

It's time to fish or cut bait on some of the guys we already have taking up roster spots.
We may already have what we need, those guys haven't really been given the opportunity to show it yet.
Can't wait to see what we do in the draft.
