It should be realll fun to throw some jokes at the pats and their fans in the years to come...for all the years of Ray Lewis jabs that they've thrown this will be a special time in my life...

Yeah. Their karma has come back to them. I won't bring it up, but if I ever hear a Pat fan talk about RL again........

It's amazing how Florio is using this PATRIOTS matter to try to make the Ravens look bad.

Example? This garbage: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/28/billick-explains-ravens-decision-to-rally-around-ray-lewis/

The media will do anything to protect the precious Patriots. :eyes:

One of the many problems I have with this is that I believe the Pats (Who by now, have a great sense of who Hernandez is as a person) also knew more about the case and the probably outcome than the average Joe.  I think they knew he was going to get charged with murder and the probability was pretty high that he's guilty.

If they really didn't know anything and truly thought he was just going to be charged with Obstruction of Justice and also his innocence was up in the air, they wouldn't have released him.  But they played dumb to make them look honorably and Florio bought it hook, line and sinker (most likely because he wants to believe it).

Comparing the two incidents with the Ravens and Pats is just really horrible journalism.  They are two different circumstances, with different information, and different characters.

PFT is miserable and unprofessional, I stopped giving them clicks

Same....I can't stand when people posts articles from there on here. They don't deserve page views with the consistent crap they put out.

And it's not only Ravens related articles I won't read, even though it seems like every article involving us is a negative one. They just suck all around ha

He really does. But I realize why.  He hates us because we're so beautiful.  He be jealous.

Judge others to make you feel better about yourself. I get it.  What I don't get is why he still has work.

Florio bigger [jerk] than Jim Rome too? What about the guys on NFL AM, the ones that co-host with Eric Davis? Heath Evans? Coach Whistleblower formerly of the Pats and Jets and Browns?

They definitely knew more than they were letting on.

Less than an hour after he was escorted from his house in handcuffs he was cut. That doesn't happen unless they had a much better insight in to the situation than they would like to admit.

So do the Pats still suffer the cap hits from Hernandez? I think there was a rather large cap toll on one of the years.

That's an affirmative.  After they voided the guarantee money I believe the hit is 2.55 in 2013 and 7.5 in 2014.  There is also a signing bonus which they will dispute as well.

Hahaha, still laughing about this, I objectively questioned the Pats shelling out all of that money to him and Gronk last year anyway. Granted they are talented players but you paid them that much after two prolific seasons in an offense thay caters to their skill sets, and oh yeah you only have a future Hall of Famer and top 10 QB in all of the league's history throwing to them. Shouldb have taken the route Ozzie did with Pitta and Dickson: play out your rookie contract and when it comes time to RFA tender them on their 4th year then start your long term negotiations. Seeing as all 4 came from the same draft and none were first round picks, it was certainly an option for the Pats. Especially when considering that Gronk AND Hernandez had different red flags while Pitta and Dickson had none in the draft process, this would have made even more sense.

Oh well, I can still enjoy the fact that our team still has the best front office for a reason.

The only concern that arose from our tight ends was Pitta's age. He is a 4 year veteran and already 28 years old (the same age as Joe). Pitta took time off of college and football to do mission work overseas for his church (he is a Mormon who went to BYU). GM's didn't want to invest a high draft pick in a player that would have to learn extremely fast for them to get a return on their investment. Luckily Oz took a chance and it paid off tremendously.

IF AH had something to do with the unsolved murders in 2012, he may have issues like being a Sociopath -- and they can turn on the charm if and when they want to. I would like to think obstruction was his only crime.

Umm this was an interesting statistic I have stumbled upon!

Remember, in America you have a 1 in 52,692,774 chance of getting shot by Aaron Hernandez, but in Florida the odds go up to 1 in 6,267,103. To put that into perspective; your odds of winning the Powerball Jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510.

To recap, you are 3 times more likely to be shot by Aaron Hernandez, than you are to win the Powerball.

The difference is that Dickson has proven very little while Pitta needs to show a little more before other teams would've pounced on their tenders.

Gronkowski and Hernandez would've been snapped up in a heartbeat, particularly Gronk. When Gronkowski's healthy he's the best Tight End overall by quite a clear margin.

Now this is telling!  The Bengals, yes the Cincinnati Bengals, passed on Hernandez.  Wow.....

http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/71947/wake-up-bengals-avoided-aaron-hernandez

How telling is it? Seriously?

They picked a TE in the 1st round and they thought they got the best one in the draft. WR in the 3rd. WR in the 8th. They had a total of 4 TEs on the roster, and the offense featured Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens, Andre Caldwell, and Jordan Shipley who was the WR picked in the 3rd round.

It's just noise. Nothing relevant. They got the receiving targets that they wanted for Carson Palmer. 31 other teams can now play the I Knew It All Along, but the ONLY thing they knew was they were avoiding someone who smokes a little bit. Percy Harvin smoked a little bit too and he's turned out to be fine. I'll bet Brandon Browner and Richard Sherman didn't have a checkered past before getting suspended. I know John Moffit didn't cause I went to his alma mater.  Jimmy Smith got passed on 25 or 26 times and he's turned out to be an ok dude.

Hence the reason why I don't waste money on lotto tickets.  False hopes.
