Former first-rounder means that there's potential in there. Also, the Ravens are good at ameliorating off-field (character) issues. Welcome Rolando and Let's Go Ravens!

Dude is only 23? One year deal. Sounds like a win-win. If this guy is gonna develop, he made a good move for his career, and hopefully he puts his off-field issues behind him.

Lol and Ozzie signs another miserable top 10 draft pick with a chip on his holder for nothing.
It's almost not fair what he's doing!

Let's face it you cant really judge a how good a player is who played for the Raiders. However when you move that player to a contender who is full of hungry players to repeat now he has a chance to shine. Add a chip on his shoulder and it could be the rebirth of a players career. Good move Oz.

Great signing by the GM I think Rolando and Jameel will mesh well together next season, plus its just a one year deal, cannot get mad at that, basically a try out year to stay or leave a team. A major WR signing is way overdue by now

no doubt. this is s a real nice signing, especially for 1 year! ozzie must feel really good about this move too, otherwise i doubt very heavily that he would make the move prior to the draft.

Yessssss! This is amazing! I was hoping this was going to happen! Draft a Elam, Cyprien in the first round, draft one or two more inside linebackers and our defense will be more than ready for this year!

Oz has filled a lot of the needs nicely before the draft now just fill a couple of holes and draft for depth.

Rolando McClain is blessed he is finally going to see what playing for a classy team is like.

Love the youth movement. We have got to be one of the leagues youngest teams.

I would've taken Dansby over McClain simply because of character concerns. But if Ozzie has faith that this guy can turn the corner, so do I.
In Ozzie we trust.

No Manti in Charm City boys and girls.
This was the move I have been waiting for - a player with his skills falling to us at 32 was not going to happen, and this is an area of the D that needed immediate attention.
Now - we get to see the true Wiz at work.
I see an impact WR in our future

We're gonna learn you Rolando. I hope Suggs, Ngata and the other vets take him in and be accountable to this guy. I doubt he got that in Cali. Ravens Locker room breathes family. We will take you in. You have a clean sheet now please do not let us down.

Ozzie still remains the brilliant genius.

i believe its gonna be easier to keep your head screwed on straight with leaders like joe, RR, ngata, and suggs, than with leaders like richard seymour and al davis, and he has chemistry with michael huff already. mcclain is going to do much better here, and we are now back to being a complete defense imo, if jameel gets back to 100 then there will be absolutely no running on us, there wont be another 100 yard rusher as long as we keep this lineup. and we also have a pass rushing rotation we can keep steady on 3rd downs as well. this defense is young(mostly) and looks scary good on paper, and no dream team nonsense, we still have a mix of solid veterans, a few impact players, developing high motor youngsters, and we are no less than solid all across the board. if we keep our players on the field and not injured, then we have a top 3 defense this year along with a top 5 offense

Nice pick up Ozzie

McClain will be motivated to play his butt off for one year so other teams can sign him to big contract.

like this move. our defense is going to spin a lot of heads this year. Ozzy is making great moves as usual never doubted the man when everyone else took refuge at the top of the bay bridge getting ready to jump.

Raiders fans are quick to bash Huff and McClain. Look at Charles Woodsons career post Raiders. Sometimes a change of scenery and a stable organization is the best thing to revive your career

Good pick up (assuming he signs - not actually signed yet...) I think this is one of those years we trade up to get a LT or a top WR. Can not wait until the draft!

Ok so picking him up, if it does work out, doesn't necessarily mean we're out of the running to draft a MLB.

Jameel is coming back from a spinal contusion. And Bynes has had a broken back. Either injury could show its head at any point.

Combine that with the fact that it's only a 1 year deal (as far as we know), and you'll be right back to the drawing board in next year's draft. Only then, you won;t have 3 potential first round-caliber MLBs coming out.

Great pick and only 23. They gave him a year contract to get himself together and prove his worth and then will resign him to a multi-year contract. If he doesn't step up, then we can pick up an ILB in this years or next years draft.
