Fair. I know some Native Americans who aren't offended by it but they don't speak for everyone, this is still a big issue to a lot of people so it's not going anywhere unless something changes.

And I know some who are. I find it offensive. My father, who is only partly Native American, had to grow up being called that as a slur.

Whoever gets offended by a professional football team name is just way too sensitive or is just seeking attention. They need to get over themselves.

This is silly.

Im not trying to demean anyone's beliefs here, but look at the whole picture. A small number of people are going to cost a business millions of dollars to change their name, uniform, stadium.

What about the fans of the Redskins? It's going to cost them money now too.

It is going to be changing the tradition of an American past time since 1937...

Because people are offended over a word...

Im going to go complain about the Chicago White Sox now...

People need to stop being so sensitive.

If it's a name that you are getting offended over, get over the petty name calling. Being physically abused or something to that nature is an entirely different story, alas, this thread is only about a silly name though.
