Anyone else here from South Central PA?? Like around Glenville, Glenrock, and Hanover areas?? Because in December, I'm moving from East Tn to the Glenrock area! I will be going to college at McDaniel College. So pumped because I may be able to see a Ravens game at M&T for once in my life. Its definitely on my bucketlist lol

I automatically thought of South Central LA when I saw the title! You should talk to INRavensGirl, she's from that area.

You rang? :D

Yes I was born and raised in York. Good luck in school!

If you want doses of history and/or Nature, I can recommend lots of great places. If not, then I won't. Just let me know. :D

Thanks for stopping by! I was born in Westminster, so I am from around the area, but I would love to see the nature scenes and historical places. Any suggestions are very welcomed, and greatly appreciated. I will be spending much of my time though in my hometown with work and school though. My dream (yes, just a dream lol) is to work for a Ravens gear store in the city. I've seen two so far, one in the mall and one by Shoppers/Big Lots, that have piqued my interest. I am going into Sports Psych, so it'd be my life long dream to be a sports psychologist for the team itself after I get my career up and running.

Excellent! Best wishes.

Well as far as history is concerned, you won't be far from Gettysburg NMP, Antietam NB and the South Mountain battlefields, Monocacy NB, the C&O Canal NHP. Oh and Fort Frederick is up by Big Pool.

Nature: Catoctin Mountain Park and Cunningham Falls State Park (Thurmont is the closest town). Gathland State Park is southwest of Catoctin (and west of Frederick). In PA west of Gettysburg, you could hang out in Caledonia SP or Pine Grove Furnace SP (the State Forest in between the two is my old stomping grounds that I miss terribly).

And if you REALLY want to road trip, you're a daytrip away from Harpers Ferry. :D

I understand about being busy with school but having a stress relief valve is nice when you can get away. Best of luck, again! :)

Thanks for the info! I really do appreciate it, because like you say, I will need time to get away from all the go-go-go of a college student's life in order to keep my sense of sanity... or whatever I have left of it anyways... lol. I've been to Gettysburg before and absolutely love it there, as have I been to Codorus State Park, which was really fun because I went with my Uncle and his nephews/my second cousins. I will definitely be sure to check the other places out.

Thanks to all of you for your advice! I will definitely be sure to check out the nature/historic sites, and I will try to stick to the Hanover area. I have been to Hanover like twice, but each time I liked what I saw.

We are PSL owners so we go to the home games.
Hanover has a Ravens Roost we are thinking of joining for the away games.
I am not sure where the next closest Roost would be.
Hanover's is at a bowling alley bar...so that is a bit of a bummer.
Steelers fans get Scozzaro's and we get a bowling alley. lmao

Anyway, the best thing about Hanover is it is an hour from Baltimore, the Harbor, Fells Point, etc. ;)

Hmm, a Ravens roost... sounds interesting. Wonder how much they charge/if they charge for a membership there?? And yeah, I'll be doing a lot of my travels/education/working in the Westminster area, so I will still consider Westminster as my home lol

Thanks for the link Eric. I was looking at it this morning, and it seems pretty interesting. Its $10 to sign up, and 10$ per year for staying onboard. Its definitely something I'll be looking into more when I finally do move up there.
