Ravens-Patriots 2007 airing tonight (3/30) at 8 PM EST on NFL Network

The game is airing as part of a series called "NFL Classic games." As someone who has been looking for this game forever, my DVR is set.

Even though we lost, this was still a pretty memorable game, and probably the beginning of this new Ravens-Patriots rivalry. And I can't even be mad about losing. If we knocked off the then perfect Patriots off, would we have Harbaugh as a coach? If we had won one more game, would we have Flacco as our QB?

Yea Boller probably had his best game of his career against a team not named the Browns. This game reminds me of Ravens/Steelers in Flacco's first couple year. Right there close to beating the Pats but poor calls and play hurt in the end.

The interesting thing about this game 5 years later. If Boller and Billick pull off the major upset ending the Pats perfect season, is there ever a Flacco and Harbaugh in Baltimore? Remember Mr B was torn over whether to fire Billick or not. That win might have gone a long way to Billick keeping his job. If Billick is still the coach does he use that game as Boller's turning point thus never drafting Flacco?

If there is no Harbs does CMac remain on the team and if so is their ever a Webb or Jimmy Smith? Probably so, but the chain of events makes you wonder.

I think it's safe to say that Billick and Boller wouldn't have produced the same amount of success as Harbs and Flacco, but what type of combo would Billick and Flacco have been? Funny how one moment or game can change a whole line of events. I might just watch this game and wonder what if.

It wouldn't have mattered, the NFL wanted the Pats to win

I wore my Ravens jersey the next day b/c that was the BEST game we'd played all season long against the best team that season and we should've won.

This was right after Sean Taylor died and Ray Lewis gave that speech to the former Hurricanes. All of them had great games, especially Willis.

I would watch but I don't want to relive the timeout/4th down debacle at the end lol.

This game had more emotion than perhaps any other regular season game I've ever seen. An unbelievable performance by our Ravens even in a losing effort.

It's amazing, the only players that were on that team that are still here are Yanda, Ngata, and Suggs.... It wasn't that long ago, was it?!? Getting old...
I guess this really is Harbs team now.

the refs and everybody wanted to keep that 'miracle' 18-0 going. pretty ridiculous how many crap patriots got away with on that game

What a beast Mcgahee was for us, finishes every run hard. Also noticing Ngata playing inside al ot more than he has these past two seasons.

All very good points. I would say that there may still have been a very serious chance that Billick gets fired due to the fact that the prison was being ran by the inmates and brian no longer had any control over the offense or defense. So off the fact that there was no longer any control I would say MR.B would still get rid of him just as Harbs cleared house this season so that history did not repeat itself.

Dude! That block that Boller laid to spring Mcgahee??? Holly crap! That was the heart of a football player right there. He blasted a defensive end. If only he could have balled like this every game. Flacco would have been drafted else where. LOL

Man, watching that game sure stirred up some emotions. How many times do you have to stop the Patriots on 4th down? Wish you could decline the false start call.

I still don't think Gaffney had possession of the ball on that TD - it was spinning off his fingers in the hand it was being kept in.

And a guy like Yamon Figurs is now up here with me in Canada! Crazy.

The game that harbaugh cites as proof we needed more discipline and the game that he said was the reason for him not wanting the team to simply wear black uniforms under him but for them to earn the black uniforms

was that the year we went unbeaten and we barely edged you guys out? I wish we lost that game so we didn't get teased just to lose to the ever so lucky giants.
