Upshaw at ILB

3 posts in this topic

dean pees is talking about it, it was mentioned in todays LFW, do you all think he could eventually make a permanent move inside? i think he would be better off inside if we cant draft a top flight ILB. upshaw isnt very fast, but he seems to weave through traffic very well and he is without a doubt a violent, strong, thumping, north south linebacker, and his skill set just seems like its fit more for 3-4 DE or 3-4 ILB with his strength and lack of burst. obviously our weakness is our ILB group, maybe theres some hidden gems in there we havent fully seen yet, but with suggs and doom, and a 3-4 scheme that wont expose his lack of burst/speed do you guys like the idea of rotating players, or keeping all of our best players on the field as much as possible? i like the idea of having that tough intimidator in the middle and keeping our outsides dedicated to the pass rush, which could work just fine with DE's like spears and canty setting the edge on each side.
