What else did they say? I'm on mobile & it doesn't work well for me on my nice old phone.

I'll be posting an analysis in the draft section once it ends. Stay tuned!

Just heard in the press conference that if LT isn't addressed, KO will get the first opportunity.
I wonder if that means they've finally acknowledged Oher isn't the answer at left tackle? Which means they'll probably be looking for one in the near future, even if he's a developmental guy.

I will say I have never been happier to say I was wrong that Oher would be the LT. KO did take snaps at LT in TC. I would like to see how he fares.

My worries may be coming to fruition with KO getting the "Oher treatment" by coaching staff, I really hope his rollercoaster of switching positions does not hamper his development. While yes I think KO or Oher could man the LT spot I would be happier if they solidified and settled into their more natural positions. I dont think McKinnie is the long term solution but it is a solution among many that I hope happens

Jack Cornell Remember this guy from training camp?

I recall for the first couple of days he was our starting right tackle. Is there a chance he possibly gets a look at LT like KO is getting. I'm not saying he would be good at LT but you never know he could turn out to be a steal if he is. Also I personally don't like the idea of KO at LT. He dosent have good feet for the position

What do y'all think???

I think this would have been a good place to post this:

I do not believe for a second that KO will be our LT. I just think they don't wanna go down that road. He can be a pro bowl guard but he would be an average below average LT. Get your players in their best positions then use a combination of draft picks to get a LT.

3 out of 5 of our line is good. We just have question mark at LT and C, we don't need to add a question mark at guard when KO might not be the answer at LT.

I'm sure he'll get a look there at some point. I don't think any of us can really tell you anything more than what you've already heard. There's not much information out there on him.

He's got Doom and Suggs to practice against. If you ask me that's damn good practice lol

Oher practices against Suggs. Oniel Cousins and Adam Terry did too. Just sayin'. They had "damn good practice" too but nothing came from it.

Lol, as was I. Hence the one-worded response. I thought that was more obvious than John Madden.
I don't think it's possible to be that obvious...

Osemele was horrible at RT last year and quite good at LG .His feet were too slow at RT so
what makes anyone think he will be good at LT where the fastest speed rushers will be?

Maybe he can develop into a Tackle but hes not even close to being able to handle that position.
If you think Oher was bad at LT ,insert Osemele there this upcoming season. I hope Joe doesn't get hurt.

Gaither was a beast, they took a flyer on a young guy who didn't pan out. The Ravens love giant LT"S. I would have given him another shot, but Ozzie knows best

Ideally KO should be left guard. But if he needs to be LT I'd like to see it. Hopefully we can find a good LT or an equal LG.

Maybe we get a LT off the free agent wire. Some body with a few games left, or some one who may be a cap casualty who will play on a dominant team for a few more paychecks

I like to think those panel type press conferences is just all scheme and for-show. I'm sure they wont hesitate to pat someone else on the back for what they do well, but other than that I think saying KO will be the LT is just good leverage:

- in the draft
- in resigning Mckinnie if that happens

Donald Stephenson. Let's offer KC a couple picks for this guy. KC drafted him in the 3rd rd last year. If they get fisher or joeckel, Stephenson may be expendable unless they have plans for him on the right side. Plus he's still playing under his rookie contract.

Agreed.
Just the fact that they're putting it out there - "KO's the best (versatile) lineman we got right now so he'd be the anchor" - makes me think they've got something up their sleeve.

It's the BPA TEAM mentality across the Oline - no more one position players, everybody's gotta be able to shift if one goes down.

I think McKinnie comes back (he needs the money) and we target Oline versatility in the draft.
I can't wait to see what Ozzie has planned.
