The thing is, he doesn't shut up even when he has been proven wrong. Dude makes my skin crawl.
Ah that's why I just don't even listen to him. I can't believe people on this site still pay attention to him. He probably never played a sport in his life, but they keep him around cause he's provocative and annoying. If anything he was probably an ice skater.

They still have time to be a better team than last season but they are not there yet. If you think they are then shame on you for wearing blinders.

Oh, the shame....Got news for you, osar.

Some people just never change their opinion, whether they've been proven wrong or not. It's like people think changing your mind is bad, and it's frowned upon. That's such crap in my book.

Skip is the definition of someone who stubbornly refuses to change his stance.

I love it.
People around here (I'm in az) were questioning why I was so confident when the broncos had beat us previously
People were shocked when anquan had quotes about us winning
That game and the n.e. game I felt like I knew the outcome long before the games were played.
With n..e I told people it wouldn't even come down to a last second play
Very easy to say in retrospect and i applaud your confidence. But, a little humility goes a long way.

Go :argdancingravensblueonwkk8:

P.S. - Gotta confess; I made a sizable wager today with a bungals fan that we would finish ahead of them this year. And Sthphen A, should stick to round ball. It's obvious he's now lost..

These are the same guys that said (Skip)- we will lose our remaining seven games and every game in the playoffs picked us to get blown out !!! (Steven A) - picked against us to be one and done, so go figure!!!

Humility? You're acting like I was shouting it from the top of the mountains
People asked me leading up to each game and I told them know. Having watched this team forever it was one of those things that I could just feel.
N.e. I ended up watching the last few playoff games vs them and really didnt see a team that was better than we are. Didnt see a team that should have been considered equal to us.

A few years ago in foxboro 34-14 victory and in that game joe seemed more of a pedestrian than a participant
Last year we moved the ball with relative ease.
Even went golfing with a friend Wednesday before the game. He's a patriot fan so we of coursed talked about it. His prediction was a close game and if n.e. wasn't careful Baltimore would make the last minute kick.

My prediction was that we weren't going to let n.e. stick around and make it close. Caldwell called an aggressive game and I felt going in he would.

So yes I was confident, on another mb I did make the same predictions before the game so its not confidence born out of having seen the results and assumed lack of humility is baffling being that on a football mb you're going to be asked what you think and I responded as opposed to making a statement of declaration unsolicited

He lost alot of credibility with me when I heard him say that. Also,Skip Bayless said that Kruger is better than Dumervil.....I kid you not.I dont see why every keeps dragging the ravens through the mud. Were the freaking SB champions and have been to the AFCCG twice in a row.How are we not the favorites? Before last year nobody outside of baltimore even knew Kruger,Ellerbe and Williams existed so why are we doomed without them?
That is OK. Smith cleaned up his ghetto attitude to some degree when he was put on, I believe, First Take with Bayless. It don't matter anyway since I often do not listen to him.

Skip and Stephen A smith don't watch football. There love, and area of expertise, is among the college ranks and basketball. You cant watch every sport and be we versed in them all. Leave the football for the football heads.

I can't stand this guy. We might not finish first, but we sure aren't finishing last; not in a division that has the Cleveland Browns in it! ;)
Haven't you heard, the Browns just signed their new "elite" quarterback - Jason Campbell. Now they can show the division who's boss :surrender:

Skip is frequently tweeting during football games and actually watches more ravens games than he will ever admit on espn
He has always seemed to follow the people he complained about the most. May not like his opinion but don't pretend that he doesn't watch or even like football as he does.

Stephen a is a basketball guy first and foremost but that doesn't mean he can't be like millions of other people and like more than one sport.

Reality is, whether they're ex players on Nfln or journalist on espn they are just giving their opinion and its not required that we care and it definitely doesn't make it fact just because they're being heard

Stephen A Smith was a Ravens supporter for much of last season and the previous season. He constantly defended Flacco ( except on the really terrible performances that no one could defend ). When Lewis and Webb went down with injuries and a defense that was already struggling Stephen A Smith simply said he didn't believe we were SuperBowl any longer but still playoff caliber team. He constantly argued Skip on that point because it was skip that said the Ravens weren't a playoff Team.

Also I've read far worse reactions on various Ravens boards from fans with doom & gloom predictions criticizing Ozzie for not paying all of these players. People forget that ellerbe was undrafted and battle with McClain for 4 years before really standing out this season.
Kruger pretty much was a disappointment for the better part of 3 years, couldn't find a position to play, he carved a niche as a part-time pass rusher and finally excelled.
There will be other guys to step up just as these 2 finally did.
Personally I felt that if McPhee was used in the pass rusher role like in his rookie year he would have also thrived when healthy.
mcphee was injured the majority of the yr and look what he did in the playoffs he was KEY in those games especially the patriots game

Granted HUGE McPhee fan.

Yeah I think once Art began stepping up too. And McPhee came back it allowed McPhee to really run full speed ahead for a sack.

You can tell when they get thrown off cause they have said the other didnt say the same thing earlier (before the show gameplan) and they accidentally agreed.

It's a debate....you get a side and argue! Y'all never had to argue a point in school you didn't believe?!?! If you want the box scores wait for sports center. Them dudes is entertaining....I remember when herm Edwards said he can't make football judgments until after the draft and skip & Stephen forced him to take a stand on some teams, lol.

I turn the channel as soon as these clowns hit my tv screen. When I am at the gym and it is on I ask them to change the channel. I can't stand listening to them about anything whether it's about the Ravens or whatever else they talk about. I guess Skip didn't learn after Suggs and just recently Richard Sherman blasted him. I don't think anyone cares what they have to say.

Y'all realize these guys are primarily entertainers right? First take is way more entertainment oriented than anything else, that's why they have columnists on, rather than "real" analysts.

You think Skip Bayless truly believes Kruger is better than Doom? You think he also believes Lebron isn't a top 5 NBA player? These guys are not stupid, they just say controversial things for the publicity that comes with it.

I like getting fired up about it too sometimes, but some of y'all need to take it with a grain of salt.

Tom Brady had 4800 passing yards
34 tds and 8 ints.

Yeah I'm ok with anyone who hypes up tom Brady. Right now Baltimore is the team that currently gives Brady fits but he is still producing at a high level

If we remove the anomaly that is 2007 Brady had his 3rd highest td passing mount this year and his last three years have been his best with 8 ints that's his second lowest. So yeah if someone is treating tom Brady like he is in his prime still its probably because numbers reflect that.
One question. Why the drop off when he plays good defenses? My numbers might look like that also playing the Bills, Jets, and Miami twice a year. Are yall kidding me? When he played us he looked real pedestrian against the 17th ranked defense. Numbers don't lie he plays great against Bum teams!

Our defense will be stronger. Improved DL with legitimate run-stuffers, Ngata moving to NT so that removes a huge need and we can get a rotation going to mitigate stamina concerns. Dumvervil will get 10+ sacks, he's surrounded by better players as a unit. Suggs is returning healthy. Webb is returning healthy. These two are in the top handful of their position, and its a very small handful. Huff is better than Reed at this stage of their careers. And with the hopeful signing of Dansby and drafting of a top 5 ILB, the middle is will be more than solid. I'm absolutely confident our defense will be better. We have a new identity now and it will be one demanding respect. Also, despite a lot of hate given to the meer presence of Lewis and Reed who were deemed unfit to be playing football...now that they're gone the trolls are saying things are worse than ever? Please.

Now on to offense. Jim Caldwell gets a full off-season with the team. They don't need to fix much just refine their art. We were slaughtering the 49ers until someone decided to turn the lights off. We will be drafting a WR and hopefully re-signing McKinnie (with the best hopes he plays like he did in the playoffs, no guarantee though).

Needless to say, all "experts" thought we'd struggle for our wildcard round and then there was no way we could defeat the Denver Broncos. They're paid to hate, doubt and criticize. Unless you're the Patriots, Steelers or Packers, don't expect fangirls from "analysts", incumbent trolls (looking at you Scumbag Skip) or the media.

There's my rant. Now let's await a MLB signing :).

I didn't see the segment but thiis is so laughable. The Ravens finishing last in the AFCN, I'm guess the loss of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed was the biggest reasons given.

This team and city operates best when being disrespected. So I love it. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Pollard, Kruger nor Ellerbe helped the Ravens aviod being statically the worse defesne to win the Super Bowl, so I don't see them not being here as a problem.

No Boldin, No Lewis, No Reed so who's gonna get all the credit for Flacco getting it done now? I just can't wait to see or hear the first person that says Flacco couldn't get it done with the David Reeds andd Tandon Doss' of the world lol. I guess Pitta, Smith and Caldwell will get all the offensive praise now.

This team is prime and ready for years of continued success imo.
