Ragin'Raven

Reason #378 why Maryland is different than Florida

Today, my two boys will be building snowmen instead of sandcastles. :D

Is it normal to have this late of a snow storm? It's Spring!

I would say the weather was rather mild this year but had been dragging for about the past month.. Anything is normal in MD in March. lol.

Normal? What about the weather in Maryland is normal?

Seriously, we don't usually have this much snow this late BUT one of our biggest storms on record occured on March 29.

Good point. ;) But your Fall was beautiful last year, and I'm looking forward to my first Spring here! (whenever it decides to arrive) ;)

Some ( many ) people in Maryland consider what we had today a snow storm.

Quit whingeing about the weather, guys :eyes: Dont forget that we Brits have monopolised moaning about the weather, and since Jan 1 it has been utter [profanity deleted]e, haha. Yesterday it was 12 degrees. This morning I had to scrape the ice off the car. :229031_rant:

I absolutely loved this weather today. :) I am looking forward to the warm temperatures this week. My first winter here wasn't that awful bad, but I'm really in my element when the temps hit 90+! And as opposed to Florida, it's not that humid. ;) Down there, we lived in our pool during the late spring and throughout the summer. You don't really even need one up there. I love it!

It was beautiful today, and apparently it's supposed to be the rest of the week.

Weekend looks bad though. D:

I hate Florida weather so much. Hit 92 degrees with 85% humidity today. Awful.

Great pool weather! Of course, we used to get all kinds of creatures in our pool until we covered it. Hopefully that won't happen up here! I haven't seen too many snakes, frogs, or lizards around here.
Our patio is screened in so no problems with that... It's been pool weather since New Years...

I didn't think it was so bad last summer. I got here in July. I was pregnant with my second during a sticky Florida summer, and that was insane. I am having this one in July, so I wonder how it'll be up here, especially during the third trimester.
I was pregnant with my youngest the hottest summer on record here, 1995, it was awful and i like the heat. I spent more time in the hospital as a patient then I did working as a nurse - I couldnt stay hydrated.
We have been at our condo in Daytona Shores and its been cooler there in July and Aug then here lol Temp and heat index.

I will say this. As much as I love hot weather, the plants really need rain, and lucky for them, it's going to rain on Friday, according to the forecast.

We got a storm tonite, it figures because I decided to go to Wegmans after PT. I am making a cake for my niece this weekend and thought I should make a dry run in the am--- hope my neighbors are hungry.

I hear the northern lights might be visible tonight in MD. Can't wait for that.
I saw the northern lights when we were up in Canada once as a kid. It was the 3rd most amazing thing my eyes have ever seen! (my two sons being 1 and 2) ;)
