I would absolutely shoot Dansby some kind of offer. I expect McKinnie to be back, and I wouldn't be surprised if we signed Huff. But Dansby is the guy I would be very interested in signing.

I say sign Huff. If Rolando is cut, give him a vet min. Otherwise, rest til draft. Neither Huff nor Rolando nor Karlos are must signs. But I'd like Huff at the right price for 3 years

You know no one has really mentioned Jacoby. I know the knock on him is that he is just a returner and a below average receiver, but I see that improving. He's definately an X factor anytime he steps on the field. And he is hilarious! A very important attribute for a WR. :-)

Look where that attitude got Denver!
I agree, LOVE Jacoby - he's got attitude and personality you can't replace, his mom can cook, and he's working with that JUGS machine in the back yard.

Re-sign McKinnie, save that money for Pitta and Leach, and I am good 'til the draft

LOL!! Yeah, he bought that machine when he got here. Gotta love it! He needs to stop trying to catch passes like punts and he'll be fine.

Coincidentally, just watched JJ on the dancing thing. He killed it!!!

Awesome!!!
we're on time-delay out here, it hasn't been on yet.
The look on his face on that Flacco Fling was just priceless. So stunned he forgot to dance :)

Probably not and unless some players are restructured or cut, I think we are done in FA. Dumervil's signing is going to put a strain on our cap in future years because we made so friendly this year. Down the road this will create problems.

I would like to see Harrison here on a 1 year deal if he is willing to accept basically nothing to play for a contender.

I hope you're not talking about James Harrison...

Yeah.
One of the biggest upsides to the Doom signing was that Harrison, his ego, and his dirty play are now out of our equation. Besides, Ryan Clark was on TA tonight talking about how he and Polamalu are actively recruiting him back to Pburg, nobody else seems to want him.
It's so much more fun to root against him.

You do realize that he was originally signed by Baltimore in 2003 right?

On top of that, are you seriously telling me that you wouldnt want to add to our already potent pass rush if it cost you nothing while also hurting a divisional rival? Your post implies no which is just frankly stupid.

But naw send him back where he can be used against us instead of for us.

As for the dirty plays, considering he would be used in rotation his opportunities would be fairly limited for that.

Id rather not sign any more FA unless its a steal. I really want to see what the young guys can get done on the field. I wouldn't mind seeing the Ravens meet with Heyward-Bey and see if they can get a cheap deal done. He has speed, and honeslty he has never had a good QB to throw him the ball. He has played on a terrible team his 4 years in the NFL. He is young with speed, he could be coached up plus he would have a good offense around him. Him and Smith on the outside would really open things up for Ray Rice and the short throws to Pitta.

I get all that, it's just at this point in time I'd be more worried about him just mailing it in to collect a paycheck.
Even if he goes back to the Squeelers, his motivation can't be all that great.

I'd just rather root for him to fail, and root for Doom to take out revenge on Elway.
If I'm wrong, and Ozzie decides he deserves a Ravens uniform, I'll root like crazy for him.

Kevin Walter is an underrated WR, who played for the Texans and has now hit free-agency. He has good hands and is 6ft3in tall. He would be a good addition in the battle for the #2 WR spot, that will ensue after the departure of Anquan Boldin. Plus, we can get him for cheap.
More importantly he's a good compliment to what we already have.

HUGE problem w/ that. After our signing of Dumervil we'll probably draft a DE who will sit and learn behind Suggs (not to add depth but to take a chance on a guy who can replace a 31 year old who tore his bicep and achilles last year, in a few years or so). Our defensive line is SET we have no need to sign another pass rusher ESPECIALLY Harrison.

How would you want a STEELER who has caused our team so much trouble for our offense? So then what's the purpose of our "great" rivalry?

Yeah yeah he was signed as a Raven back in '03 but how many Regular season games did he play for us exactly.....? 0

In my mind he was never TRULY a Raven

You are beyond stupid for this comment. Seriously this isn't just your everyday normal stupidity, this is advanced stupidity (spongebob reference).

Tell me OH GREAT RAVENS FAN, which sounds more appealing to you?

1. Give Harrison back to the Steelers and allow him to continue to wreak havoc on us at a discounted price
2. Take Harrison and use him to wreak havoc on the Steelers at a discounted price.

I don't give a damn what team he was on. You know why? Because he isn't on any team now and that means he can be an asset to us.

Its funny how you make it out to seem like I'm campaigning for the guy when all I said is that if we can get him here for next to nothing I wouldn't mind because he adds depth, can help relieve Suggs and Dumervil while still maintaining a consistent pass rush, and of course add to the potency of an already deadly pass rush while being able to rotate in on running downs.

Anyway thats all besides the point because like I said I think we are done in FA.

Dansby and McKinnie are the only ppl I can see the ravens pick up. The draft is the place to get a S.... Rambo in the 3rd is my favorite

That's a very anti-Ozzie mindset. One, you can never have too many pass rushers, and Two, yesterdays enemy can be today's friend.

I say the Ravens have done a great job in free agency. Adding Dumervil. Canty. Spears. And huff. D-Line deff has depth again. Pass rush is at the top of the league and bring in a safety not afraid to tackle. Without the attitude and reputation of a former Bernard Pollard.. 3 more moves I could see the Ravens taking stabs at. Or maybe just for the sake of our Madden rating I want them too. Lol. 1. WR. I feel like the biggest steal at WR on the market is Julian Edelman. He's elusive. He crushes our secondary whenever we play him. Hes the next Wes and anything we can do to make NE worse I'm all in. 2. CB if we were to move Webb to FS which I don't see. I think ah Brent Grimes would fit at left corner. And if we got ah FS in the draft then Webb staying at CB with Grimes on the other side would be tops in the league. 3. Of course the Ray Lewis void MLB. I'm all in on Rolando McClain. And I tell you why. No player that plays for Oakland can you judge his character and work ethic. They have been nothin since rich Gannon left. Lol. He's only 23 years old. Bring the kid in and work with him. We have great coaching and great leadership on our team. A brother good. He will be fine. And the last Alabama LB that we had was a one Jarret Johnson. You remember how
consistent he was.. McClain can be exactly what we need.

Sounds like an ok plan. Personally, I would rather go for Walter or Alexander if we sign a WR, but Edelman is ok. Grimes is out of the question because of cost, and we don't have a need at CB. McClain is a decent pickup if he actually becomes available. All signs point to him eventually being released, but we never know until it happens. Dansby would be a solid contributor if we decide we have to sign someone at that position, as well.

Agreed. Anyone who is willing to play hard for us, I would cheer for....

It would be like saying you didn't want Troy Polamalu on our team in his prime teamed up with Reed. Come on maaann!.

Clint I was going to ask if you weren't somehow Rolando Mcclain himself, but you put together way too many sentences for someone of mcclains intelligence. Upshaw and Cody are not leaders yet. Cody will never be a leader and many say hes a bust, so hes got his own things to deal with. Upshaw may become a leader and influential in the locker room, but hes not there yet as hes still learning the nfl himself. You mention ozzie, but nothing beats having a go to guy in the locker and practicing alongside of on an every day basis. Sorry but if we bring Mcclain in look for trouble. Remember we have never had to go without ray's influence in the locker to this point. With the roster in flux, we will be taking a high risk minimal reward approach by signing him. That's not ozzies style.
