Flacco2Mason

Next Free Agency Move

According to NFL.com we could possibly still sign Kerry Rhodes or Karlos Dansby. Any thoughts on that? Do we even have the cap room for it?

I think we are done in FA to be honest.

If anything, the rest of players will come from our 2nd/3rd year depth players or from draft

Probably not and unless some players are restructured or cut, I think we are done in FA. Dumervil's signing is going to put a strain on our cap in future years because we made so friendly this year. Down the road this will create problems.

I would like to see Harrison here on a 1 year deal if he is willing to accept basically nothing to play for a contender.

I think Huff is still on the radar. I also see a backup C and that would do it for free agency. Maybe McKinnie too.

Bryant McKinnie is next priority.

If no one picks him up, I think Bryant will come to us @ a reasonable price.

If rather take Huff and save some cap room and then build through the draft. I mean we do have 12 picks. The thought of Ozzie with 12 picks is almost unfair.

A backup center would be a good addition. Did we sign Pitta and Jones yet? Anyone think we will move up in the draft by trading some of our picks to get someone like Matt Elam?

probably between us and the saints. they are having trouble with the cap too so we should be able to get him easily.

With #15 pick. I could see them picking Lane Johnson for LT.

Lane isn't making it that far. NO probably can't trade up either since they lost so many picks due to their bounty sanctions.

WR Kevin Walter? the guy has even better hands than Boldin, he's not as physical or tough but will go over the middle and make tough catches.

Really hoping for a restructure of Leach which will hopefully lead to enough cap space for us to sign Huff and Dansby to fill up the holes down the middle. Followed by re-signing McKinnie. Would be nice to have that vet presence given we're likely bringing on some future bigtime Ravens via the draft.

I see Oz picking up a vet WR that gets cut during the summer/training camp as well. Coming via the vet minimum.

Bryant McKinnie and Huff.

Fill the rest through the draft.

He's getting up there in age, though. At a certain point I'd like a few receivers that will be for Joe what guys like Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison were for Peyton Manning. Although it would be hilarious if we pick him up and then win the whole thing again next year, with yet ANOTHER former Texan.

Try to get Pitta and Jones signed, maybe get McKinnie back for 1 or 2 seasons and that's it. Don't waste any money on big signings. Just go into the draft with what we have right now and address depth issues in FA afterwards.

Outside of Torrey Smith (who is not a complete #1 WR) we have 7 receivers who have an incredible 21 career receptions combined. We have no real veteran experience in our WR corps and nobody who can do what Boldin does.

True, but remember Torrey was in a worse position last year with a shortened offseason, and if it wasn't for Lee getting hurt HE might not have gotten his chance. At some point I'd like those receivers to get their chance.

I like all of this. If we do all that, we are truly drafting from positions of strengths instead of need. That leads to landing big time values and not reaching, which is our way of doing things anyway.

Huff is too old.... we got Thompson playin SS next year. Omar and possibly someone we draft will be the FS with Ihedigbo as a vet that can play both. I woudnt mind Dansby at the RIGHT COST to bring a vet presence cuz McClain's neck injury rubs me the wrong way. I want McKinnie bak as a stopgap at LT with us drafting one high next yr
