Arthur Jones: "It’s like a dream team in the making"

Media trying to get a story line for people to read. Don't pay any attention.. After the losses of Ed Reed and Ray Lewis.. The faces of this franchise, no one in that locker room looks at this as a "Dream Team".

Well, we DID just win the SB. We DID just grab the top FA to go opposite Suggs. We DO have Webb coming back. And we DO have 12 draft picks.

Reload and go again!

Love the Sig friend, exactly what the Oz has done. I know Arthurs feelings. The Ravens have made some changes and i felt like we were doomed but we all but solidified the debacle that was our defensive line last season and we get to see Webb and Smith on the field which may look bad at first until we start getting pressure to the QB and Webb gets back into NFL shape because all the working out in the world does not compare to on the field activities. I like Idhegbo as Reeds replacement. He hits hard, very fast and has that swagger. "IF" Smith can stay healthy for a season we should scare any QB we meet next season. We have 2 proven pass rushers compared to one iffy one most of last season in Kruger. We are golden. If i ever doubted Oz i am and was an idiot. The guy see's thing i never dreamed of. Who would have thought we would have turned a sinking ship of a defense into a very real threat next season, i know i did not.

I don't think it's a big deal. People are overreacting. The Eagles comment lingered because it was made in July/August (because of the lockout). The draft hasn't even happened yet, this will be forgotten, as it should be.

Is it really ridiculous to say that the defending Superbowl champions could be a dream team IN THE MAKING? What if we repeat?

Oh Dear Lord! The NFL Network is scrolling "some Ravens are talking dream team". Some? How can they exaggerate like that?

I really think that Arthur (Not the Bone) Jones isn't worried about the competition. Having great players around you only motivates you to play better. I'd much rather hear us being compared to a dream team after going through 2 seasons of hearing the "old defense" and "past-their-prime" and "can't stop the run" oral naseum from clueless Bayless, et. al.

All i can say is that if we repeat then the NFL better plan the Thursday night game better for us to actually open at home. What was the MLB thinking when they scheduled the Orioles at home on that day. :268213:

There is a significant difference between Michael Vick or Vince Young saying it and Arthur Jones saying it.

I have a feeling a vast majority of fans of other NFL teams have no freaking clue who Arthur Jones is. To him, they are a nobody. It's as if one of our backups said it.

If Suggs, or Joe, or Ngata came out and started talking about "dream team" stuff, then you can bet your butt that it would be a huge story for the rest of the offseason. But alas, it's just Arthur Jones. This will fizzle out shortly.

Is it possible that huff and dansby could come in with huge signing bonuses for 1 year and only count for like 4-5 mil total like doom?

And its another thing saying it after you've actually won something.

I really don't want Dansby. I would take Huff over him unless he came at vet min.

I'd prefer Rolando, who is younger & cheaper. Rolando has also struggled and he might just need a change of scenery to improve.

Neither should cost much anyway.

Having an "elite" quarterback didn't hurt us last year so I'm not worried about being a "dream team". We are SB champs. We are already wearing the bullseye.

Arthur jones was quoted on 1st take this morning, lol. I don't know many underdog superbowl champs.....if the media calls us underdogs that's cool! but NFL players and coaches circle us on the calendar...especially our division rivals. haha ain't wanting to be an underdog.....media and the NFL are not the same. According to the NFL we are public enemy number one.

Honestly we have to remember that these guys (the Ravens players that didn't get the axe ) were probably a little miffed as well to how their off-season was going. The signing of Doom didn't just make the fans happy, it made the players happy too! Art's a young guy, he was probably just super relieved something good happened like the rest of us. Don't blame the guy at all.

Although I'd rather he hadn't said it, I think its pretty different from when Vince Young said it. The Eagles didn't even make the playoffs that year, Art Jones is coming off of a Super Bowl win, so I think his statement may have some actual clout.

No one is going to make any kind of big deal about this. If anything, it would be the opposite. Yeah, we signed Dumervil, but we also lost nine starters. Anyone insinuating that we have a "dream team" in the making is nuts.
