Ozzie has lost it. Lets keep signing positions we dont need. I bet we draft 11 quarterbacks in the draft. This decision was even worse than cutting Pollard. AWFUL.

So conquerorworm if McClain is cut that's another HOLE in the middle. I guess the rookies will just throw the Ravens balanced payroll at runners. It will be sad watching a bad team. I feel bad for our home boy Ray, but to see all those in post Super bowl celebration mode now celebrating these moves and what they have to write and say then.

HUH. ? What the heck? are you talking about... Maybe it's me but I just don't understand this post.....

I knew Ozzie would come through with another great signing! Our defensive front 7 is looking more and more dangerous! If we can manage to draft Alec Olgetree, then it's lights out, repeat time for the Ravens!

#92 is Haloti Ngata now. What if Elvis takes #99 as a way of showing Cleveland they "jumped" too early in free agency-----does this deal prove once again that Ozzie is the best poker player in the NFL? Trade Ngata to SF for their 2nd&3rd round picks this year................rebuild trhe Ravens in three days of drafting. Elvis could then be #92 here too.

So Wes Welker goes from NE to Denver, Elvis goes from Denver to Bmore, Ed Reed goes from Bmore to Houston, and the Pats get... wait for it, wait for it... Nada

No... dumervil has played his best in a 3-4. He's more happier with a LB pass rusher role. This is probably a good reason why he came here. We aren't going to switch to a 4-3....lol..

@Newrorayvenfan You should be happy with this, we've bolstered a weak run defense and took advantage of unexpected cap room that we got when we didn't get Ellerbe. Look for them to sign a vet ILB not named Urlacher now. They have 12 draft picks and will probably draft a receiver or two to add to the competition they already have at that position. (it's a weak draft at receiver, so it'll probably be a mid-round signing). Someone will emerge. You also have to consider that the coaches see more of Laquan, Tandon, David Reed, etc. than we ever will, so they know where those guys are at in their progress.

Paul Kruger was doing nothing for us for a long time before the coaches found a place for him, don't be surprised if the same thing happens for the receivers.

@Axisofeeble go easy on Rex, I'm glad he's not still in the organization, but he also had Mike Tanenbaum as his GM, not Ozzie. Dean Pees did pretty well last year despite all of the injuries, our defense is going to be stout this year assuming people don't get hurt.

bewareitsray- You really don't know that prior t0 last season Elvis Dumervil played OLB in the Denver 3-4? By the way he was a feared sack machine as an OLB.

Ngata is one of the best DT/DE in the league. We would never trade him espicially to a team who is probably going to be the best team in the NFL.

I will say, one disappointment in this is that I was hoping Courtney Upshaw would get a chance as a pass rusher. Maybe they'll put him on the line in obvious passing situations, he's big enough.

Dumerville had his best year when playing in a 3-4 defense, our front 5 will be ferocious , this will set up for the new ILB to have a great season , The Ferocious 5 Suggs, Canty, Ngata, Spears, Dumerville take that NFL analyst, our defense was in the bottom half most of the year, this year will be top 5 !!!'mmm

Can't wait for Draft Day to get here. Going to be interesting. Alot will happen before then, I know. Great move, Oz. Remember though, that signing these guys to big contracts and assigning such a low cap number comes back to bite you. Yes, I know Oz knows what he's doing. No question there. Just as w/Flaccos contract, its nice to assign such a low cap, but sooner or later you have to pay the piper. What usually happens is contracts get reworked or the player is released. We know already that Oz is no fan of reworking contracts. Just sayin'.....anyway, great signing Oz. Welcome, Elvis.

Sorry fans, but BallsDeep is angry and represents the way many of us feel. You may not like it but if next year is a failure don't get upset, many of you, most of you seem to support what Ozzie and crew have done. I don't like it and many independent analysts of football are wondering about some of these moves.

@NCMan wouldn't be surprised if Dumervil was traded in a couple years when the cap comes calling. We're probably more set in depth at OLB with Upshaw than we were at WR when we traded Boldin.

Read this article, it says that Dumervil comfortable positon is at DE. We don't have the MLB's to do a 3-4

PManning, Lady Brady and Pig Ben were already scared to death by T-Sizzle and Haloti Ngata. And the Texans do not have a legit Superbowl QB. Let's just hope he does not pull a "Mario Williams" on us - and we'll be fine.
Would love it if Flacco could do to Matt Ryan what he did to Brady the last 3 times they met...

I hope Ray Lewis buys the team and fires Ozzie. That's the only way the Ravens will ever win another Super Bowl. Ozzie has Alzheimer's

The Beak: it posted before i was finished, i know it makes NO SENSE. I very slllooowwwww! point was, where are the linebackers? And i'm through for now, see you later. I don't like this team's moves-BOLDIN, BOLDIN, BOLDIN, i think you'll agree next year after Joe has NOBODY to get open. Got to leave, this is what happens when your typing stinks!
