Man...Of course we will open on the road we are the Ravens. Adversity just loves crash into our team and fans like a runaway train. I just hope this year we can come together enough to withstand the doubters, injuries, and hard times we've lost all of our leadership.

Technically this is not the Orioles fault but they will get scapegoated for it and I'm ok with that. That's how angry I am. The Ravens cannot catch a break this offseason.

Orioles won't get a dime of my money. This is disrespectful, and arrogant. We are the super bowl champions and you robbed your own city, of mostly oriole fans also, of a great feat. A concert?!.. without the team or a ravens game??... oh yeaa everybody enjoy that. Leave it to the orioles to mess up this celebration.

Leave it to the Ravens to be involved in traditional-breaking news.
1. First team to fir etheir Super Bowl QB in 2001.
2. First team to unload almost half of the starting Super Bowl team in 2013.
3. First team to break the Thursday night home opener for the reigning Super Bowl Champ.

I don't live in Baltimore, but wouldn't this cause a separation in the city between the two teams/fanbases? Why wouldn't the Orioles owner agree to this? Can't he see that the Ravens won the Super Bowl? It's always been this way, but I guess someone is too stubborn... But what do I know, I don't even live there.

How come it`s OK to play on Xmas,Thanksgiving, and for that matter SUNDAYS over all, which is a day of rest for a religion, but GOODELL respects Rosh Hashanah more than American religions/traditions?

I grew up a huge Orioles fan, but I'm so disappointed that we will not see the Super Bowl XLVII flag being unveiled on opening night. I'm a casual Orioles fan now and a huge Ravens fan. However, I'm so upset with the Orioles for doing this, even though I believe they have every right to not move there game time. The only thing I can do is ignore the Orioles this season in protest. I hate to do that but what else can I do to show my displeasure?

I was looking forward to the season opener. Why can't the Ravens ask the league to open on Sunday Night at home and let San Fran open on Thursday night. If the "tradition" is for the Superbowl champs to open on Thursday night at home, and the tradition is broken by having the superbowl champs go on the road, why do they have to open at all on Thursday....

everyone make a twitter and tweet @nfl. they actually do read those. not saying it will change things, but it's the best way to express your disgust.

Yeah very disappointing especially since the Nats are on the road that day. Wish they would have maybe explored the possibility of moving the O's game there since it's only 35 miles to dc and then Baltimore could have had the season opener here and it wouldn't really have put the O's out that much and the Ravens still could have financially made the O's whole for moving the game to DC and still had the game at it's normal time no traffic jams as is being reported and all
