1) I"ve yet to hear why Rosh Hashana (jewish new year) is so hallowed that Wednesday is unacceptable. I've only heard it use as some bland excuse like it trumps everything. 2) lets not pretend the Orioles really tried to accomodate. 3) O's will be competing for 3rd place in the AL East as per usual. 4) Super Bowls don't come every year; the playoffs do. This is an utter disgrace, I'm mad at the Ravens AND Orioles for failing in this regard. Its a disgrace to break tradition here and send them on the road; meanwhile we act as if Rosh hashana is some unbreakable holiday. NFL plays 15 games a year on worldwide New Years Day last I Checked.

Well I guess I won't be supporting the Orioles this year... way to go O's... you just made half of your fan base mad yet again... love the Oriole's ownership... they are ridiculous...

Or that they can't play a doubleheader two days later on Saturday; when the White Sox will still be in town through Sunday, so it wouldn't mess up any travel issues?

So making the Playoffs in Baseball is more important than winning a Super Bowl (Championship). I feel like we have just been robbed, so far an awful last week or two. The Orioles could of played a Double Header, the NFL could of put the game on a separate day. Now we have to go to Pittsburgh or New England again as always and play there. This just makes me sick to my stomach. Instead of forcing teams to play on a week day make the Super Bowl Champions open the first Sunday Night game...problem solved.

Something tells me Camden Yards will be a ghost town this year.

It's not my style to go NEG but I hope they get rained out that night! Shucks, last year being the exception rather than the rule, the O's will be 25 games out of 1st Place....

No disrespect, but really don't get why they can't play the game Wed. I mean baseball is being played on Rosh Hashanah. Sounds like the Ravens made that call. Don't get it. Really bummed because I live in California and was going home that week and was really hoping to go to the game. Man this off season gets better and better.

I would rather just have the game on opening Sunday and be a true home opener as our team and our fanbase deserves. Having a "long week to prep for week 2" is a cornball of an excuse. No, we're going to make them open on the road on Thursday night because the NFL HAS to have a Thursday night game, give me a break...never thought this offseason could get worse...

Why why why?

What's next? Nothing but bad news for the past month on this site. Complete disrespect!

Who has bigger tv rating and fan base? Ravens or the Os?

Boycott thre first game the orioles didnt bring a chapionship to baltimore last year. The ravens did. And they have 167 games to play. The ravens 16. Wow this is so bad. First we lose a lot of people and now we break the tradition of playing at home for one baseball game. Omg. This is sicking the hits keep on coming.

Orioles haven't won anything worthwhile so they decide to hold the only team in Baltimore worth giving a crap about hostage to prove they are "big men".

What crap, watch now as that game is boycotted and they make less money on their ngiht game than if they'd moved ti forward and had Ravens fans come out too and Biscotti giving them some money too.

I buy the hats because I love the city, but that's done now. I'm not spending a single dollar on them until Angelos isn't the owner, enough is enough. This is the straw for me. And I'd bet every last cent I own that the Orioles won't be anywhere near playoff contention at that point next season.

BOYCOTT THE ORIOLES! I am not going to a singe Oriole game this season in protest. I will keep my money in my pocket or spend it on other things before I give a single penny to Peter Angelos! Worst owner in all of sports...congrats to Peter for distancing himself from the Baltimore Sports fan base even more! You are winning at life sir...you my be filthy rich, but you have issues man! Take a page out of the Steve Bisciotti book on how to be a professional sports owner! Can't wait for you to no longer be involved with that team! You are a disgrace!
