Since we face them this year, it'll be interesting to see Joe match up against Reed in game instead of practice. How many, if any, picks will Reed get? I say 1, since we throw it deep a lot and Joe isn't usually afraid to throw it at anyone no matter who they are.

I'd like to see none, but i thinkthe advantage goes both ways. And Flacco does take chances sometimes, it's not a bad thing but interceptions happen. I can see Joe throwing a pick.

Joe doesn't get picked on long balls, he's way to accurate for that. Ed will be playing deep all game knowing that we will attack downfield, so he will have no chance to pick one off.

Absolutely zero. Ask not what Reed will do to us... ask only what Flacco will do to him. 4 Td's against the Texans from Flacco, and at least 1 given up by Reed, in a statement game of the ages. It is the year that Reed gets exposed as an over the hill vet living off of only name recognition. 2013. The year Reed gets exposed.

I think Ed makes big plays, but they might not result in picks. I'd bet he actually drops a pick, and it will lead to a Ravens score later in the drive.

Joe will throw no picks, and will also throw 3-4 touchdowns. Torrey Smith will burn Ed over the middle for a long touchdown, whether by physical ability or Ed's gambling.

Also, Rice breaks an Ed Reed tackle en route to the end zone.

I can count numerous times he's been picked off deep. Joe's a great deep passer but don't act like he's God.

Count how many he threw on deep balls last year. Here's a hint: A snake can count them on his fingers.

I'm hoping for ZERO. I remember a CB that QBs were scared of throwing to when he was in Oakland then he went to Philly and got exposed.

I'm going to say zero - there will be a game plan in place to prevent that from happening. I'm more concerned about JJ, he's always had Flacco's number.

According to this site, it was two this year. Deep means 15 or more yards to them though, so take it for what it's worth. It doesn't say which two plays

I was going with 20+, which was zero. I guess he threw two picks in the 15-19 yard range. I consider that mid-range in the NFL, but everyone has their own opinion I guess.

The stat is in this article: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1504607-joe-flacco-vs-colin-kaepernick-breaking-down-the-sbxlvii-qb-battle

Reed will get picks. They have a great defense and you guys are writing him off already like he's got nothing left in the tank. Try not to be bitter.

Hurts to say but...........2, dont kill me lol.
They're killing me for saying 1.
Two seems high to me...Two implies Joe is struggling, where as one could just be luck or a gamble that doesn't pay off, or a tip.

Eh, it's whatever.
I think Joe will play well, but I don't think he's immune to a mistake, and I certainly don't think Reed is washed up

Joe knows Reed's tendencies? LMAO

Joe likes to chuck it as far and as hard as his arm can handle, and Ed is well aware of that. I say atleast 1 pick or none but he will definitely affect the passing game on that day.

Just like its a business for the player who has no reason to be loyal to the team, we have no loyalty to the player once he leaves our team. You know, because football is a business and all. So I can talk trash about him all that I want to. He's gone, and in my opinion, a good riddance if he didn't want to be here.

I don't think Reed will have many picks at all next year, much less any on Joe.
If Reed picks Joe at all it'll be on tipped balls from Watt. I think Reed will feast off of JJ's batted passes but it will be a deceptive stat. Also, I think our game plan will be to isolate Reed and get him matched up on Bernard Pierce. Advantage Pierce. I think it's underrated how much our defense schemed to allow Reed to freelance. I'm not sure Phillips is going to be able to do that, given how much he likes to blitz, and it will be interesting to see how Reed adjusts.

Very few times is Joe throwing picks to safeties... Usually its a corner or LB... I , personally think Joe knows how to handle it. Throw it short, and make Reed tackle...

I was speaking objectively of course. Reed can still ball and his loyalty has nothing to with his abilities.

He can? Surprise to me. He can't tackle. Sure he gets INT's, but he gambles so much anymore without having the same speed he used to have, that he gets burnt on several passes when a good Qb throws it down the field at him. Sometimes he is expected to be in help defense, but then he's not in position which allows for an easy deep completion. His name is what is giving him the rep. Not the talent anymore. Sure qb's may be scared of throwing at him, but thats not based on his recent performances in any way. Plus, he gets hurt wayyy too often.

My vote depends on when we play them in the season, if its early on then I would say 1, but by the end I would say 0 because either Ed will be saving himself for the the playoffs or will actually be hurt and won't play.
