The KICKER!!!

Most people over look the kicker. Have you ever lost a game by a couple points and thought to yourself damn if so so only caught one more pass or if he only ran for another 1st down? Think about it...if you had the right kicker that game, you might have won ;)

The strategy I use is to switch kickers every week in free agency. I usually go with the best match up available. I'm telling you it really does make the difference. I look for teams facing bad defenses, I look for teams with a good running game and bad passing game ( like vikings) when they face mediocre defenses. And I limit the kickers I choose to the player with the best match up in the top 5 available.

Most fantasy owners don't focus on the kickers which means their are hidden gems still available. If you look in FA you'll find kickers averaging 10 pts a game. Longwell scored me 14 points this week. That's 100 yrd rushing game from a rb or a 80 yd receiving game with a td for a WR. It's all about the match ups.

If you have trouble deciding google fantasy advice or something and see if you can find good tips from experts to who will have a monster game. ESPN does a position ranking each week so check that out if you need help making your final decision. But seriously, the right choice could be the difference between a Win and a Loss.

Hope this helps.

I had David Akers who is #1 in kicker points but he put up a nice fat 1 yesterday against the Ravens lol. Thankfully, I still won.

I do this. There are a lot of people that do this. I always love it when I see teams drafting kickers in the sixth, seventh rounds. Usually I do not even draft kickers or defense sometimes. Kickers and Defense really depend upon matchups. And there's always a favorable matchup on the waiver wire.
