I loved how he constantly left Cary Williams out on an island with no help over the top while he freelanced at the line of scrimmage.

Never went to training camp.

One handed tackles that broke away and went for big yards.

It was nice having the occasional pics but I would rather have kept a hard hitting Pollard.

OK I'm done venting!

There are so many good ones, but this one stands out to me because he returned it for a TD even though he was running the other way when he intercepted it. Plus, Ngata destroyed one of the Dolphins players on the return... just awesome!

I gotta agree, as soon as I saw the thread topic what immediately popped in my head was : 107 INT return vs Eagles in '08. That play was just so absolutely sick that it disregards the fact that we were obviously gonna win that game and negates any other big plays by him in "big games" in my mind. The Kaepernick pick was good, but nowhere near as impressive.

My second place for purely personal reasons (though still pretty awesome) goes to his INT vs Carolina in '10 that he lateralled to Landry who managed to break the pylon for the return TD. I live in Tennessee and this was only my second game ever getting to watch our team in person. It was just so amazing to see Ed's infamous lateralling actually work for once. And Ray topped it off with a pick 6 of his own afterwards (the 30th of his career if I remember right, getting him into Rodney Harrison's 30-30 club). What made it even better was I recall driving down to the game and telling my friend: I'd love to see Ed Reed get his 50th career INT, heck throw in Sugar Ray's 30th too, and then it happened. A memory I will never forget. The video below is almost the exact same viewpoint I had at the game and the stadium was probablyat least 65% Ravens fans which explains why it got so loud when the INTs occured, haha.

The hit he put on the Colts receiver(Reggie Wayne? Not sure) years ago and of course the pick six against the Eagles and also his pick six against the Browns when he did the wing motion.

Are you referring to the hit at 0:35 or 0:57 of this video? After the first one, I love how Ray went crazy on the sidelines.

I'm changing my mind. I'm picking any play that didn't include signing a Texans contract or holding up a Texans jersey.

Think it was 57. There was a video with a better view on it. I'll have to find it.

Its less about Ed and more about my buddy.

My good friend is a Skins fan. As a tradition he takes me to the games at FedEx, and I take him to the games at M&T.
Well the last time they were at M&T early in the game Portis, hits a big run. My buddy, getting way too far ahead of his self stands up and faces the crowd behind us and points to his Clinton Portis jersey and yells to the crowd of Ravens fans
" Yeah Portis !!!!! Do you have an answer for him ? "
At which point the crowd erupts in cheers. My buddy realizing something had gone horribly " wrong " turns around just in the nick of time to watch Ed Reed walking into the end zone, pretty much right in front of us, backwards.
He turns around unable to even raise his head to the crowd and shrugs his shoulders and hold his hands up and says
"... and I got nothing... "

Mine isnt anything spectacular play wise but will always be special for me. Im from Canada and one Christmas week I flew myself and my brother to watch the 2010 game in Cleveland on the 26th. My brother was just coming into learning about football from a technical aspect and that year I was explaining how zone coverages work with players sliding in the zone depending on their reads. If I recall correctly we played just a basic cover 2 in the nickel and Ed took his deep half and picked off McCoy deep on the right sideline near half. We had tickets right on the 50 so we saw the whole thing develop and my brother just looked at me and was like "damn that was awesome, perfect cov 2 by Ed and Webb".

Cost me quite a bit of cash to go down to Cleveland that Christmas but damn if it wasn't all worth it and then some.
