[News] Reports: Ed Reed Chooses Texans

487 posts in this topic

Ed Was one of the Greatest! But in his last few years he has just let receivers catch the ball if he couldn't intercept. Didn't tackle much either. He will be missed as one of the team but maybe we need that so we can put another man in his position to make the plays!

Reeeeeeeeed! It just wont be the same but, knowing the Ravens relieved Cam Cameron of his bad play calling, none of the things that has happened to the Ravens thus far, doesnt bother me! Good Luck Eddy, but you better hope the Ravens arent on the texans schedule because the Ravens know your weakness! Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed, for the last time! Cuss Word! LOL!

Good bye Ed...its like seeing Johnny Unitas in a Chargers uniform...only YOU had a choice to stay and end your career in a city and loved and respected you. Unitas never got that chance...

People get too hurt over someone leaving. So he chose to go somewhere else, I'll miss him, that's for sure. I'll never forget the first big play I saw him play against Tennessee in his rookie season. He blocked a punt and returned it for a TD. In all honesty though, this helps the Ravens. Opens space for a vet to come in at low cost, work the young guys in along with a vet, and hand the reigns over to them. As Ravens fans we always hate seeing franchise players leave, but as football fans, we need to understand that it happens and that it's not the end and could in fact be beneficial.

Can't believe I've read that people still blame Joe's contract for this. Guess people don't realize how much Ngata is getting over the next year or so. Joe has 6.8 against cap, only what, 5% for a superbowl MVP?! Yet, so much of this is Joe's fault...

I see his leaving as an opportunity to grow. Ed has been great but has slowed down a lot the last season or 3. While it will be unpleasant to see him go it doesn't upset me all that much. There are other possibilities for this team. And to be able to gain younger talent with the lack of need to pay Reed is an overall plus. Afterall, how many years has Ed got left? It just seems this team is doing a great job at putting together players who are competitive each year. GO RAVENS!!!

Good luck Ed Reed!!! You will be greatly missed! Your leadership and coaching will be missed. Your ability to change the game will be missed. Your presence in the secondary forcing quarterbacks to throw to the sidelines and avoid the deep threat. We fans hoped you would be able to stay and pass on the Ravens ferocity to the new, young guys like only someone like you or Ray could do, because you guys created the Ravens personna! The city and your fans will miss seeing number 20 every Sunday. You were worth every PENNY!
