Ravens predictions for next season

115 posts in this topic

Flacco being elite will no longer be a never ending drone of discussion by commentators.

Uneducated talking heads will switch from the Ravens being an old team to a young and inexperienced team

We will not have a devastating losing streak in the end of the season

We will be counted out of the play offs sometime after mid season, then underdog through the div and con rounds of the play offs

Finally- we will once again have to suffer through weeks and weeks of opposing fans trolling and telling us how there is no way we will beat the Broncos, Patriots, 49ers, Falcons or who ever the heck shows up.

all ends up in a REPEAT!

I won't make a predication on the record before the draft, training camp, and at least a preseason game or two but I do believe that Joe will take the next step this year and be the kind of QB that regardless of who lines up with him he can keep the team in contention.

If I had to guess a record it would be 10-6 as of now.

One thing I know....... there is a little added pressure to Joe Flacco now. A lot of people look at it in a way that by Joe getting such a huge contract, that's the reason why we are departing ways with a lot of our team.

I doubt Joe is going to feel any pressure. That's not who he is. It doesn't matter what the media thinks, players (the good ones) don't let that effect them.

Agreed. Joe gives absolutely no [profanity deleted] when it comes to stuff like that. There was a video where Dave Dameshek apologizes during the SB media day for ragging on him all year (unsurpisingly his SB pick was very insulting towards the Ravens) and Joe just brushed it off as a non-issue.

I know how cool Joe "Cool" Flacco is but he is human and it has to be in the back of his mind with all the departures to the team that his contract was somewhat responsible for majority of it. He even said that he want his contract made out to where it doesn't hurt the team and we can sign guys back that we need. It's like Ozzie and the FO feel we can win more behind the arm of Flacco so he doesn't mind us sort of unleashing on defense b/c he feel the offensive will be that good..... Flacco will be that good.

The pressure will be there regardless but it's no one that can deal with it better than Flacco with the type of demeanor he has.

Flacco makes his first pro-bowl and is in the top 5 for MVP votes.

Torrey surpasses 1,000 yds receiving.

Dickson steps up as a serious receiving threat giving us 2 dangerous TE's.

Tandon Doss has a breakout year in the slot.

We go 11-5 and win afc north again.

Ozzie doesn't mind unleashing on defense because it was that bad last season. They stepped it up in the red zone, no one can take that away from them but we gave up the most points of any SB Champion ever in both the playoffs and the Super Bowl itself. We won't even talk about yardage (mostly because to look at those numbers makes me nauseous).

I hear a lot of talk about how the Ravens won't make the playoffs.. Are these people serious??? Shame on them! ESPN analyst suck.

I prefer NFL Network.

We'll be better than most people think and, whether in grand fashion or by the skin of our teeth, we'll win the AFCN. :baltimore-ravens:

I think we're still going to make the playoffs which is the only thing that matters. Once we're in anything could happen. We're also the most experienced playoff team so there's a huge advantage.

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of talk on NFL Network about the size of Joe Flacco's contract and whether the Ravens have made a huge mistake by paying him so much.

Every time Joe makes a mistake or we lose a game I can see this topic coming up for discussion.

With the way Ozzie has been rebuilding our defense we will shut down offenses. And then with the way our offense will preform things look really really good for us. I am going to keep my hope for a repeat Super Bowl. GO RAVENS!!!

NFL Network has Jamie "Put Up Your" Dukes. He is one of the biggest Flacco/Ravens haters there is. Did you hear when he was discussing the AFC contenders for next year? He said there's no way the Ravens could be in that conversation, and he put the STEELERS in contention because he said, "You can never count them out because they have 6 Superbowl rings." That is one of the most biased answers you could give.

Predictions
Either Torrey Smith or Dennis Pitta will be chosen for their first Pro Bowl
Torrey - 1,100+ yds 10 TDs
Pitta 800+ yds 8 TDs

Healthy Ngata & Suggs return to All Pro Forms
J.Smith has break out year injury free also

B.Pierce and Ray Rice combine for 2,000 rushing yards.
Caldwell continues to prove how Cam Cameron held the offense back for years.

And just imagine, going with Caldwell provided a ton of success in the short term... Imagine what will happen after an offseason to prepare and add in parts of his offense.

2013 Baltimore Ravens Opponents Home Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, New England, N.Y. Jets, Green Bay,
Minnesota, Houston Away
Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Miami, Chicago, Detroit, Denver

NE, Packers, and Houston may be losses. Split with the Bengals ? There are just not many good teams on the schedule. The D will be younger and faster.

We need a couple of safeties, and a pair of LB's. The real need is LT and WR.

Last year JJ and the special teams play went un predicted, and was dynomite.

11-5, @ least 10-6.

Back 2 back is hard to predict, but only we have a shot.

Probably should be in the thread about who the season opener will be against.

sidenote: I really have to stop clicking these links to these blogs. The glaring mistakes make the writer/editor in me painfully cringe. I mean there is a pretty big difference between a 7 yd TD pass and a 70 yd TD pass don't you think?

11 and 5. Probably lose one heartbreaker. Lose to one "weak" team like we do every year.
2010 - Titans
2011- Jaguars
2012 - Eagles

Maybe the Bills or Browns finally get one out of us.

16-0.

We win the SB again

56-3

Flacco throws 8 TDs
Doom gets 5 sacks
Suggs gets 6 sacks.

Then next offseason we lose Art Jones, Pitta, Dickson, Oher and cut Corey Graham.

Folks panic.
Media blames Flacco.
Media says we regressed.

Ozzie signs Patrick Willis and Calvin Johnson who was cut after their agents phone was disconnected for not paying his bill.

Ed Reed, Kruger, Cary Williams and Ellerbe are all cap casualties

Hello, fellow Ravens Fans. This is my first post here. I think that when all is said and done, in the end, the Ravens will have a record of either 10-6 or 11-5. With the constant additions from free agency and the upcoming draft, we will have a very good contending team.
