Well assuming Michigan wins I will have 2 of the 3 final four spots right. Then if Louisville wins I will get 3 of 4 right.

Which one did you get wrong?

Homer! But no, I had them losing to Miami in the national championship. So much for that...

Rooting for Louisville so hard today mainly because they play Duke but also because Pitino is an awesome coach.

What does that make Coach K?!

Wow that was a gruesome injury on Ware. I imagine a compound fracture isn't fun.
I'm pretty sure the bone was sticking out of his leg as well. Awful injury.

That's what a compound fracture is. Can't believe something like that happened on what looked like a routine landing.
Indeed it is, for some reason I was thinking it meant broken in multiple places which is odd since I have actually had a compound fracture.... I guess brain fart would be an accurate description of this situation. Man I'm out of it today. Also I guess all the ankle tape and whatnot put all the pressure on his bone rather than spreading it out more which most likely caused a normal landing to be anything but. Just a guess though.

My two boys have been watching the games with us, but we didn't have the game on during that point in time. I'm glad, because if the motion is as bad as the picture, I don't want my boys to ever have seen that...nor do I want to have seen that either! I feel so sorry for that poor kid. :(

It was a 1-in-a-million injury... an anomaly in the physics of his fall. Had his leg fell a thousandth of a degree in another angle, it wouldn't have happened. Anyway, God bless him! I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Because I'm choosing not to watch the video of it, how did he land? Did he land on the side of his foot to have the bone break the skin the way it did?

Worst injury I've ever seen in sports. Gruesome.
Lattimore's injury was worse to watch cause of the way his leg moved. Still, this one wasn't pretty.

The worst injury I've ever seen happen live is this kid fall off a trampoline and land with his left leg twisted underneath his body with his foot almost touching his head. Shattered his entire leg. I don't know what happened to him, but leg injuries scare me! I hope the television programs will use personal discretion with this injury. A young kid's life is potentially changed forever. I hope they respect that enough to not show it on highlight reels tonight.

If anyone didn't see it live and was curious like me, it's on YouTube.

Just get ready to cringe.

I don't think I want to see it. My husband and I were saying that the people across the country eating their dinners in restaurants where the game was on probably didn't finish their food though!
Bench players were vomiting. Even the players from Duke were shaken. Pitino was crying. That's all you need to know.

So sad. My husband texted a friend of his who specializes in orthopedic injuries though, and he responded back that this injury actually might not be career ending though. It depends on the process they go through to reset the leg and how severe area damage is, I don't know without reading his exact text. If this truly is the case, that's one bright moment in a horrible situation.

I watch medical shows during dinner, no problem whatsoever (except eyeball issues, I can't handle those) and I barely cringed seeing Theismann's leg get snapped because, well, I can handle seeing that.

People, do not look it up!! I did because I'm obnoxious and was curious to see what exactly had happened and now I can't get it out of my head. It's BAD. Really, really, really bad

Michael Bush had the exact same injury, so there's hope.

Yeah. Pitino just said it was the same as Michael Bush's injury, and that it'll take him a year to come back. My best goes out to him.

So glad I didn't see it live. That's really sad because I remember their last game against Oregon, Ware was tearing it up. Even though he's not a starter, Pitino always seems to have trouble with guys going out in or near the tournament. I could've sworn Siva went out last year. I'm just glad they won and are staying alive. I really like Pitino as a coach and as a person. I hope Ware can make a full recovery and come back next year because he seems like a great player.

Happened to a player in my favourite Rugby League team he jumped for the ball when he landed on his leg the bone snapped and was sticking out of his leg.
This was around a year ago and he still hasn't returned to the field. May never return.
Btw might just be me but was the reaction of the players a bit over the top lol when it happened over here 2 of the players stayed with him to comfort him and the other players got ready for the game to restart. Not roll around on the ground crying.

Rugby is a much more brutal sport than basketball. This is practically unprecedented, especially for a collegiate league.

Enfield is going to USC. Can't say I'm surprised, I figured he'd leave after FGCU's success in the tournament. I doubt that school has the athletic budget to keep up with a bigger program, and it's not like the PAC12 is as difficult to win in as the Big 10.
