Super excited about the Huff signing and the prospects I see on various Mock Drafts. What do you all think about the possibility of bringing in Charles Woodson? He is older, but still can play if he is healthy. Brings a lot of leadership and his price should not be to high. Thoughts?
That's actually an interesting thought. He would do well as a SS here. Of course, it would never happen but it's no different than the talk of Cruz or any other FA we won't be getting.

Does anybody else not like his new number? I think 29 looks terrible for a safety. I know it's petty but it just looks bad to me..

I don't think it really makes a difference. We don't have that many numbers left in the 20's right now.

Eh, As long as he plays well I could care less. He just said on the chat that he didn't want to pay Corey for #24.
26 and 31 are both available, and to me, are better suited for a safety. I think both would look better than 29. But it's all a preference thing.

Well 26 is out. Emanuel Cook has it, even though he's an ERFA.

To be honest, I'm surprised he even had a presser. He's not a huge name or anything. I mean, Canty didn't get one. Not that I'm complaining or anything, just didn't expect it.

your opinion makes absolutely no sense, omar brown did not make the roster. he was undrafted, someone has a mad crush on the kid when he has never even been playing defense against a 1st team.. let it go mayne, kid is raw with some talent
It's almost as if you didn't read a single thing I typed... Your post actually makes no sense because it is contains logical and factual errors, nice try though. He did make the roster and has recorded 3 tackles, a fumble recovery, and a sack. Also tons of undrafted players have been successful. Some names that come to mind... Ellerbe, Chrebet, Warner, Fletcher, Romo, Holmes, Welker, Harrison, Gates, Moon, Foster, Brandon Bolden, Burfict, Leach, Cruz, Jason Peters, Penn, Moore, Grimes, Clark, Wake, Bennett, Clemons, Floyd, Austin, Hawthorne, Browner, Arrington, Carr, Mikell... Should I go on?

His big upcoming extension is one of the reasons they haven't been signing FAs this offseason. Hopefully that continues. It's not just him, either. They are trying to extend and give big paydays to Clay Matthews and BJ Raji, as well. Basically, anyone who has been in a State Farm commercial.

Really? They would "look" better? Why? And why would 26 and 31 be better suited for a safty?

Don't get it either. There are plenty of players at safety who have worn/wear the #29. Perhaps he's just having Cary Williams flashbacks or something.

I can't believe this poor guy has been around for nine seasons and has never even experienced a season with a team with a winning record. Ouch! Talk about hungry.

Oh, just a personal preference/superstition thing. Like the color of uniform. Lol. Never understood that one either. But you know what that comercial says; if it works it ain't wierd.

Rabble Rabble Rabble! I agree, though. Not a fan of numbers in the 40s or high 30s - specifically 38 + 39

I like Huff because it gives the Ravens something we haven't had in a while. A cover Safety. The Ravens had trouble with TEs but Huff should help. He'll also give flexibility to line up multiple places. He can play both Safety positions and Corner. This ability could free up a guy like Webby to Blitz which he's great at.

It also means that if someone like Thompson or Omar steps up and proves to be worthy of playing time, Huff could slide over and play SS. I like the combo of Huff, Webb, Smith, Graham and Brown. It'll be interesting to see which Safety steps up to start next to Huff.

I think the run defense will be much improved, Suggs and Dumerville will make it hell on QBs. This will only help Huff and company on the back end. I'm really liking how the defense is shaping up.

Who said I was riled up? I was asking a question. Your post made it seem like there was some actual reason that he shouldn't be wearing that number, not that it was a fashion statement. But like I said in a following post; it ain't weird if it works. I get superstition, we have a few at my house during the games too.
