Because no one cares about a regular season game when we just won the SB...and the Redskins haven't won a playoff game in how long?

Right, I forgot about that one. Four postseason appearances in 20 years, no conference championship appearances. No wonder Redskins fans actually care about beating the SB champions in the regular season, it's all they really have. Giants last year and now Ravens this year, what an accomplishment.

Is the story true, that the owner of the Redskins campaigned against Baltimore getting an expansion team, after the Colts left town?

Yes, that's a big part of why so many of us detest the racial slurs.

NFC East is a soft division. The Cowboys are consistently overrated and just a train wreck waiting to happen. The team just lucked out with the Herschel Walker trade. Seriously, without that robbery they would only be sitting with two Super Bowls right now instead of 5. They haven't been Americas team for over 15 years. The Giants are bipolar. They go from bad to average, to Super Bowl champs than rinse and repeat. The Redskins are just RGIII. Sure everyone loves them now but when he gets injured again in the next two years because of his style of play and the way Shannahan coaches people will be singing a different toon.

Eagles are okay and should probably be better, but I have no faith in that team. They should have won the Super Bowl with McNabb and them boys, but Andy Reid mishandled the team.

Anyway I digress. Soft division in which the teams are constantly overrated, because of they are from Big cities. Giants are the only legitimate team in that division. Eagles would have been good with a new GM and head coach.

Is this the same guy who is so cheap he refused to make his field presentable (or safe for that matter) for the first Redskins home playoff game in 13 years?

I like how Redskins fans keep bringing up the game last December. They beat the Ravens when a large portion of their roster was injured. Heck, I'm surprised the Ravens did as well as they did against them.

Had the Ravens not lost that game (or at least 2 out of the three during that losing streak), Cam probably wouldn't have been fired and the Ravens wouldn't have made it to the SB.

Beside that awful turf at their field, he can definitely thank Ngata for blowing his world wide open when he tried to scramble.

I still don't know how we lost that game. Offense slices through their defense like the swiss cheese it is in the 1st half, then gets blitzed in the 2nd half and just folds? Thats why Cameron was fired right there, perfect example.

To be honest, there were a lot of little things at the end of the game. The refs blew the call on the punt turnover, Chris Johnson let his man get past him to catch the game winning touchdown, the D couldn't stop the two point conversion, the offense couldn't get it done in overtime, and Flacco kind of gave up on a critical QB scramble after getting 3/6 yards on 3rd down, and finally the punt coverage team forgot how to cover punts. It was much more than Cam.

Let me start by saying I live closer to D.C than Baltimore. The ravens are obviously the better franchise with the better fans. The Redskins have their training facility in Virginia, stadium in Maryland, and are called the Washington Redskins. If you ask me that's the only reason they have more fans, they cover two states and a city. If we were just talking about Maryland the ravens have more fans. Opposing fans absolutely own their stadium, if you remember the steelers going into their stadium on a monday night it was 60-40 steelers. I find it funny in those comments on PFT the redskins fans act like they have bigger fish to fry, as if they have been relevant for the last 20 years. I am from the D.C area, but I'm a ravens fan for lyfe.

It may have been because of the two illegal blocks in the back on the punt return in OT that the officials chose to ignore. Anyway, the Redskins have every right to be jealous. The Ravens are Maryland's team now --- if not America's team. The Redskins practice in Virginia, play in MD and are named after the city of Washington. They have an identity crisis, not to mention the major problem they have with their name and logos being very questionable from a political correctness point of view. Their victory over us was a pyrrhic victory. They beat us but lost their QB. To add insult to injury, they have now beaten the eventual SB Champion in two or three straight seasons if memory serves me correctly to no avail. We also owe them props for giving us some practice against a pistol offense before we had to go up against the Niners in the Big Show. Like imitation, jealousy is just a form of flattery. Just enjoy it!

If there's one thing I've learned in my years of being a football fan, it's that stereotyping/pigeonholing the fans of any one team as being one thing or another is never accurate. I have plenty of friends who are Ravens fans (obviously), plenty more who are Redskins fans, as well as a few Steelers and Cowboys fans.

I've learned that every teams fanbase has every single type of fan, the pacifists, the rational/knowledgeable, the crybabies/whiners, the cocky d-bags, the blindly loyal ill-informed idiots, etc etc. I've seen plenty of Ravens fans who are just as annoying/embarrassing as many Steelers or Redskins fans that I've come across, and I've seen plenty of Redkins or Steelers or whatever fans who are down to earth and normal/rational/knowledgeable as plenty of Ravens fans that I know.

So I always get annoyed now when I read fans from one fanbase attacking another because "all [insert team] fans are [insert insult]". It's just idiotic, but I guess it's just a never ending cycle in NFL fandom. So reading some of the comments on that article, I take away a lot of "wow that guy is an idiot", which is accurate, but I can't use each idiot as the representation for that entire teams fanbase. I've really started rambling now and have lost my train of thought. Carry on

I can't speak for all fan bases, but living in Philadelphia my whole life, I can tell you that most, if not all, the crazy stereotypes about the mental, hateful fans of the Eagles are pretty much based on fact. It's a point of pride for Philly fans to live up to these stereotypes. They are nuts. I'm a Philadelphia fan of all sports aside from football, and our fan bases get crazy enough about hockey, baseball, etc., but the true psychopaths find their home at Eagles games.

The funny thing is they keep pointing to their win over us as proof that they're so much better. They don't seem to understand that without that loss to them, Cam is still our offensive coordinator and we aren't sitting here holding the Lombardi Trophy. ;)

The fumble on the punt really did it. We had the game won. You can't interpret a fumble recovery like a reception. That was just awful. They get it right and it's game over. I bet the replacement refs would have gotten it correct

An interesting thought. Everytime we lose to The Redskins we win the Super Bowl the same year.
[/quote]

good point, we need to get them on the schedule every year than.
