The Baltimore Ravens posted this on Twitter.

"League source says there's a chance #Ravens may not open at home on Thursday Night Football due to scheduling conflict with Orioles."

Your thoughts?

They better get something worked out. It's ridiculous not to open at home after winning the Super Bowl.

Didn't the Giants open on Wednesday last year due to some conflict with an Obama speech, if I recall correctly? If Baltimore can't host the game on Thursday for any reason, the NFL should still accommodate the Ravens and hold the season opener on any other day of that week prior to Sunday. I wouldn't mind at all. What would piss me off is if the NFL doesn't accommodate us and instead gives the opener to someone else.

I read the reason they won't move it to Wednesday is because of Rosh Hashanah. My suggestion was to move it to Friday or Saturday but I guess Goodell isn't smart enough to think about that...

Saturday conflicts with college football and Friday conflicts with high school football, which is why we don't have Saturday games until late in the season when college football is over.

Well, let the Orioles shift their schedule then. I mean, they only have like 200 games in a season...

Ahhh I forgot high school football, it's been so long. Now that makes sense as well. I just wish the Orioles would accept to just change their home game

Love the O's but c'mon man! We just won the Super Bowl! Help us out a little bit here.

We BETTER get this season opener. I will be ticked at everyone responsible for the screw up (looking at you Orioles and you, Goodell) if we don't.

That's what it seems like. I just say have both games play on Thursday and let the Orioles play in an empty stadium at this point. Lol

Is that different from the norm? I've always assumed baseball doesn't sell out on weekdays.

All the Orioles really have to do is make it a day game. They simply don't want to because it is a weekday. Orioles' management, owner, etc had best go check out how many Baltimoreans showed up for that parade for the Ravens. It will not be taken well in the city of Baltimore if their Champion Ravens have to open the season on the road because the Orioles organization is having some ego issues.

Why can't they play on Rosh Hashanah?

what is this?

And the fact the baseball yea,s pay so many games is probably the reason they can't move theirs, no time to fit them in

Rosh Hashanah. Jewish New Year.

The article states they can't move game to Wednesday because of Rosh Hashanah.

No disrespect but I don't understand what that has to do with the Ravens game.
