Ravens get picks, 130, 168, 204 and 247. 12 picks total next month. Not bad.

Ozzie can do a whole lot of good with 12 picks. I think it's awesome.

Wow. From the link in the OP, the Ravens have been awarded more compensatory picks than any other team by 6. This goes back to 1994 when compensatory picks started and the Ravens didn't even exist for 3 years after that.

That's interesting. What does that tell you? :)

we have also lead the league in most all pros drafted since 1996 by a sizable margin. ozzie is definitely the best drafter in the league. and with 12 picks, we're destined to find some awesome players.

With all the depth needs we have, the more picks we have, the better. Plus this gives us the flexibility to trade one of our original picks to move up if need be.

Work your magic, Oz.

Wow Chiefs Texans and Titans got third rounders?
Texans got the 3rd rounder for Mario Wiiliams

& Chiefs for Brandon Carr imo

I'm feeling that the extra picks might allow us to package some of our original picks to move up and score better players. If there was ever a time to do so, its now. 12 draftees will not make this team better, but 6-8 quality players might..

Revis or Cruz lol jk.

12 draft picks now, oh boy, Ozzie will re-load and I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to trade down in an effort to get some extra draft picks in 2014, Belichick style.

Last Time Ozzie had 4 Compensatory picks was 2007.

1 29 (29) Ben Grubbs G Auburn
3 10 (74) Yamon Figurs WR Kansas State
3 22 (86) Marshal Yanda G Iowa
4* 35 (134) Antwan Barnes OLB Florida International
4* 38 (137) Le'Ron McClain FB Alabama
5* 37 (174) Troy Smith QB Ohio State
6* 33 (207) Prescott Burgess OLB Michigan
* - Compensatory pick

Judging for that draft, I have faith that Ozzie will find some serviceable players.

I also saw 49ers get a 4th. My goodness gracious lol

Anyone know who that was from? Also that 6th they traded to us for Q meant absolutely nothing to them.

Wow apparently San Diego didn't get anything for losing Vincent Jackson?
they signed more than they lost so get no picks

For Vincent Jackson, I read on one site that they wouldn't get anything because they signed 2 more players than they lost, here's the quote:
The highest contract player not to return a pick was Vincent Jackson, as San Diego signed two more players than they lost. I think they would like to hit the “return” button and take the 3rd round pick, as except for Atari Bigby their signings have vastly underperformed as per their contracts and in general. Robert Meachem may be traded for a round of drinks at the combine.
I'm guessing for Josh Morgan but I don't get this either considering they signed Manningham in his place, albeit to a lesser contract.

We also cannot discount the number of UDFAs we sign that not only make the team but become stars. We really don't need all 12 picks. We can package picks to move around in the draft and I think we will this year.

Then I see us signing some more impact guys via UDFA.
