Marvin Lews on Randy Moss

8 posts in this topic

Well, apparently Marvin Lewis doesn't do PR-speak. Although, it's just more of an example about veterans, still a tad on the harsh side:

“That’s the uneducated putting dumb thoughts in people’s minds. It’s why you have an opportunity to go after these guys and go get these guys. So you continue to make your team better. You are not a positive in making your team better when you keep adding old guys . What did Randy Moss do for those guys last year? He did nothing. He got in the way of a younger player performing.”

I actually love what Marvin Lewis said. He wasn't/isn't afraid of being picked apart on his views on Moss, and he said the truth. Simple fact is, Moss did next to nothing last year, and his time on the field only hurt the team as he not only was a lazy bum, but he also played in front of developing guys who need a chance to see playing time. Well said Lewis

But a couple years ago he had T.O. And Ocho playing at the same time.

I guess he learnt his lesson. And I agree

If (or when) he gets fired, I hope Ozzie calls him immediately to give him the defensive coordinator position back. I don't care if he goes over John's head to do so, Marvin is a great defensive minded coach.

But for a guy that is a great defensive minded coach, it sure has taken his organization a LOOOOOONG time to put great defensive pieces on the field. Last year was the first time since 2009 when they won the division that they were stout like STOUT on D
