Final Edit: http://www.nfl.com/n...altimore-ravens

Dumervil agrees to a 5 year contract worth up to 35 million. 1 million base in year one along with a 7.5 million signing bonus. Guaranteed 12 million and a 3.5 million injury guarantee on next year's option bonus.

"Firmly on the Ravens Radar" as reported by multiple sources. http://fansided.com/...several-others/

Supposedly meeting with the Ravens towards the end of next week following the owner's meetings. (Deleted Text)

Guy is 29 and won't be 30 till January. He has been consistent in the pass rushing department since he begun his career. Had his career high 17 sacks when the Broncos were running the 3-4. I know after his transition to 4-3 he declined a little (still has a lot of success) but I think Von Miller coming in really helped him succeed in the 4-3. The only question I would have is how well he will do on the left side as he has played right his whole career.

I hope we sign him. His price tag won't be near what the Broncos were going to pay him according to reports (plus he is likely to sue his agent). He has 3-4 experience and played his best in that scheme. I'd estimate anywhere from 4-7 million per year. He and Suggs would make a scary duo.

EDIT: His agent had the right to waive the 5 day waiting period (and did so), meaning Dumervil is free to hire a new agent as soon as he wants. https://twitter.com/AlbertBreer

I wonder if this could bump up his visit to Baltimore.

EDIT: http://www.nfl.com/n...umervil Ravens reportedly offered Dumervil a contract. He was not thrilled by the Broncos front-loaded offer (as it probably included much less money then his initial contract plus gives them the ability to cut him at a later date). According to sources the Ravens offer was more spread out. Waiting for details.

EDIT: http://www.nfl.com/n...-to-feel-wanted Ravens reportedly offered less money than the Broncos, but guarantee more. He said it's not about the money but he wants to feel wanted by his new team which is why he hasn't accepted the Broncos offer. He said he would sleep on it Friday night. Dolphins are also making a move.

EDIT: Klis reported on Saturday night that Dumervil will wait one more day to decide on the Ravens or Broncos (made no mention of Miami).

I think it will be hilarious if we end up upgrading from Kruger to Dumerville.

After all those teams spent all that money we are the only ones left with cap space. Looks like a late fax might be this years "steal".

Would love to have him taking over Kruger's role from last year, Suggs, Upshaw, and Dumervil would be a fantastic OLB trio for us. Unfortunately, I doubt we still have the $ available to make a serious run at getting him. We still have our RFA's unsigned tenders and our draft classes' salaries to fit under the cap plus Anquan's salary is still sitting on our cap for the moment as far as I know...

The tenders factored in still leaves us with currently around 11 million. Even with the draft we could very well make a serious run. Most of the bigger players are out as stated above since they made so many deals very early on.

I appreciate the sentiment, and I laugh at Cleveland like there's no tomorrow .. but there are TONS of teams with cap space still including Cleveland, Miami and Cincinnati (as in $35-$40 million worth of cap space each). We are still in a really tight cap position.

I'd rather the Ravens get him than Harrison.

Oh man, this is a dream move. Dumervil and Suggs would be so deadly.

I don't see us as serious contenders. Not with Miami on a spending spree and Cinci being strong armed into spending money by new league regulations. The move is also a bit splashy for the Ravens FO. Usually, the Ravens wait out FA and scoop up free agents for cheap, that make sense for their team. Dumervil is great and certainly would fill a need, but at a steep price.

OMG if we sign Reed back for under $6M and than get Dumervil to a long term deal that was cap friendly for this year, that would make me so happy.

Let's do it Ozzie this is the move we've been waiting for.

He was willing to take a pay cut to stay with Denver
He can come to a better place for the same price

I doubt it as well, and given Miami's spending spree it'd be tough to compete with them...

What's the deal with Q's situation? I know he's in Africa for a noble cause but I can't help but think he is trying to screw with us by not coming back and signing the deal/relieving our cap space...is that selfish to say? lol

Im pushing for this move, we need to get more pressure on the qb and with suggs comming back healthy-ish, this would be an actual upgrade from kruger which qould be a steal. Also, is Osi still out there demanding a big payday?

This may be just me, but I'd be 110% fine with letting Ed sign with Houston, if it meant we could sign Dumervil.

As soon as I heard he had been released, I was begging Ozzie to give him a call. I'd take him over Harrison any day.

I think he still wants his big payday, but given the market he's not going to get it. So I think he needs to adjust his price point. I don't see us pursuing Osi unless he just wants to go to a good team or is getting desperate. But if I'm not mistaken last week he said he was going to be DPOY, so I think he's still shooting for the fences

FIrst of all. If you get the same money, why go through the trouble and move to a different place? The Broncos are just as much, if not more so, contenders for the SB and if he is open to offers from different teams, then at that point we would have to compete with teams like NE for example. You remember the Patriots, you know the team, that lost Wes Welker to the Broncos? The team, that could use a good pass rusher to complement their anemic defense, that they were trying to fix for at least the last 2 seasons?
We still are in negotiations with Reed, who reportedly wants 6$mill, we are still on alert so no one can snag Pitta away from us, we still have 6$mill tied up in Boldin until he passes the 49ers physical and we still are hurting for cap space. Like a lot.

I am sorry. Dumervil is a nice dream, but it still seems like just a dream. I'll be the first one to do a little victory dance, if it happens, but for now this has "Greg Jennings might become a Raven"-type of hype written all over it. Don't trust the rumors!

Ravens fans would change their doom n gloom tune awfully quickly if Elvis Dumervil signed with Baltimore. Salary cap room is there.
