Free Agent Safeties

With the release of Pollard and the uncertainty with Reed, we now need 2 QUALITY safeties in the backfield. Any ideas who would be solid for both SS and FS?
I'm hoping for us to splash on Adrian Wilson at SS to get at least one proven guy back there. With FS, if we can not resign Reed reasonably, I hope we can at least draft someone decent such as Elam from Florida.

EDIT: Looks like Quin got signed earlier today while I wasn't paying attention. With him off the market I'd say re-sign Reed to a two year deal or just wait for the draft to address the position. It's not a deep FA market for safeties.

Christian Thompson. - last year's draft pick
James Ihedigbo - STer who can take Pollard's spot
Omar Brown - Hidden UDFA potential
It's not pretty, so we have to find some players through draft or free agency.
Possible Safety FAs:
Instant & Affordable Results:
Quintin Mikell - one of the better effective safeties last year who got cut cause of cap space and age, 32. Age isn't a factor since safeties can play well past 30s. So getting Mikell as a stopgap safety isn't a bad choice, but he might command better money elsewhere.
Kerry Rhodes - He played well last year, but got cut due to cap. He can sign a nice deal, but he does have a documented attitude issue. After seeing Pollard and Reed being off he team, Rhodes might not be the best option character-wise, you can't deny his talent and effectiveness.
Depth Signing:
Dawna Landry - After being a free agent bust, he can come back to us to be a solid backup for our thin depth. He was a serviceable safety during his time in Baltimore.
Will Allen - A SS who played in for Troy Polamalu can be an effective in the box safety.
There are other talents, but it all depends on if they're willing to play for almost little money, therefore I wouldn't be surprised if we convert a player like Corey Graham to the Safety position or invest a high pick in a young safety. We can get an immediate help signing an aging, yet effective safety while we groom a future safety.

I would love for us to draft two safeties now with in the first Matt Elam at SS and Bacarri Rambo in the third at FSSaw the Free Agent WR's Topic and thought to make a Safeties one with it.

Wilson is a seasoned Vet, I can't see us signing him. But I believe that Christian Thompson will get his shot. We just drafted him out of South Carolina. Let's not forget that he was mentored by arguably the greatest FS of all-time.
As far as SS goes, whatever Oz does is A-okay with me. Lol

you mean Michael Huff?
I like Michael Huff, and he seems to be a likely signing because of his price range. Ihedigbo would be a fine starter, and we haven't lost Reed as of this post. There are a lot of safeties with similar ability that will be available on the second day of the draft. I think we will end up ok at this position.

I think Zibby would be good on the CheapZbikowsi just got cut any chance of bringing him back for cheap for depth? I kinda liked him when he was here, wasn't he the better one between him and Nakamura? Or do i have them backwards

No thanks. He played terribly for the Colts last year. He's slow and lacks instincts. That was made evident when he was here and got a few starts under his belt.

I would not mind brining him in for depth but probably not as a starter.

Both Zibby and Nakamura were awful last year. I don't want Zibby back, I was glad when he left.

Ihedigbo can play strong safety and there are 1 or 2 good prospects in the drafts.
there is only one good FS on the market which we will be resigning

Chris Thomspson a FS we drafted last year, why not give him a shot? After all he has been mentored by the best FS of all-time

I don't think they'll sign any big names at Safeties. Maybe a low level ST type guy who might get a shot at some pointed

The only FS FA I want is Ed Reed.
If not Reed then no one. Would rather start a rook.
